Kind of agree with this... 8 and 8 Plus should be more stable I guess (not mentioning a few bugs from iOS 11, here and there)... but hardware wise, it must be better than previous model...

A good choice for users who are happy with the 4 year old design language. Safe.

If the Pixel XL2 was available locally, I might be tempted to switch camps. Just might. Hahaha...
*
The pixel 2 (not XL) was my original choice before I decided on the ipx. Google not being bothered to launch it here and my urge to leave android basically helped make the final decision.

This year the pixel 3 may be just the ipx clone to buy ha ha. Notch on display - check, no headphone - check, stereo speakers - check, wireless charging - check, water resistance - check tongue.gif

Still a good buy. Never before in Apple's history that they can offer discounts for a current model. rclxms.gif

Wasn’t there an rm700 drop price offer for the ip7/7+ in 2017?

Personally, I would stop short of saying things wouldn’t be so bad if SJ was still around. Apple wasn’t perfect even when he was at the helm.

The world is a different place now and technology is quite at the cutting edge. Competitors have caught up and in many areas they lead the way. Software has become so complex and people have so many combinations of apps and user configurations that issues are bound to occur.

Anyway, to each his own.

Seemed to hear more problems on IPhone X than other IPhone models as a whole.

Even new IOS updates are not spared.
*
Maybe there really are legit issues since the ipx is a new design shift for Apple phone hardware and software.

I can only speak for myself - my almost 4 month old ipx is running just fine. Best phone I’ve ever had, period.

Nope...

when i open google map or uber app, the location showing in the map was not updated.
For example, it still showing the places that i last visited probably few hours or one day ago.
It only happen if i use data connection only with wifi and bluetooth turn off.
*
Strange. I don’t allow Uber/Grab/GoogleMaps to use background refresh but my current location is shown in less than 1-2 seconds when I launch the app after a day or two.

My data is always on and so are wifi (lazy to turn off) and bluetooth (need it for my Garmin watch).

been using since end of December

I charge anytime I like in the office (wireless) and at home (overnight charging, sometimes wireless, sometimes wired) and my ipx batt is still 100%.

Bought in Nov last year.

Alright then, I will continue doing what I do - charge wherever, whenever ha ha.

Not gonna baby my phone.

Serious? Anyway I updated too lol. What new feature
Heard wireless charge will shorten battery recycle life?

But mine also 100%. But mine only 1 and half month.
Charge overnight?
*
Wireless charging is for convenience. Don’t know don’t care if it shortens battery life or not.

I charge overnight every night since I got the phone. Same behaviour since my first android smartphone in 2010.

Android phones usually 2 years before I change. For this ipx am planning for 3 years.

It’s a phone (tool) not a child (family). Battery can be replaced when necessary ha ha.

The Airpod fitting is the same as the Earpod fitting ya?
The Earpod didnt really fit in my ears last time, keep dropping out, so I guess the Airpod fitting is the same?
*
Same problem here. I still have 3 pairs of EarPods sitting in the box (from 3 iphones) because they just don’t fit my ears.

Eventually invested in two expensive solutions - Powerbeats3 for music and Plantronics Voyager 5200 for calls.

After 2 months using iphone X...i only notice the IP67 is tahi lembu, just mineral water pour onto it(did wipe it dry) but 2 hour later face unlock rosak, button rosak, rear camera fogging, auto Siri activation.. so long 256gb...should have spend less and get 64gb instead.

The worse is...IPX didnt cover water damage. Is time to say goodbye to Apple.

Good bye..

Hi all user of X,

Is the iPhone X still having issue on GPS? Currently on fence before deciding to own one.. if there issue on GPS, it would be problem since i'm kind of heavy user of navigation apps.

I've read that the 8/8+ also have the GPS issue..

Do share your experience on GPS.
*
Dunno what you mean, no issues with GPS for me.

Used my phone extensively for driving navigation last week without any problems.

Which was why one of the apps I bought a long time ago before Waze existed was the Garmin for iPhone app. Don’t need data.

Don’t know if it’s still available these days but they’ve not update it for ages biggrin.gif

Nokia Here and maps.me apps support offline maps.

In fact even google maps can cache portions of the map offline.
