Currently deciding to upgrade from 5S to Ip8plus or IpX

There few Q’s wanna ask
1. Does notch really annoying/get in your way
2. Face id, is it quick as touch id (because i always text n drive)
3. Does IpX better than Ip8plus regarding screen resolution to watch video?
4. Is there problem or issue with IpX?

Thanks.

In the beginning yes, but you’ll get used to it after a couple of weeks or so. I’m probably in the minority that actually liked the notch even when it was first announced, and all those Android fellas were mocking away. Look at what they are doing to their phones now laugh.gif

2. Face id, is it quick as touch id (because i always text n drive)
No, Touch ID is quicker and at this point of time, more reliable than FaceID. That said, FaceID provides more security - I like that notifications are hidden till you glance at your phone - and also FaceID is intuitive and pretty easy to get used to. I don’t miss TouchID at all.

3. Does IpX better than Ip8plus regarding screen resolution to watch video?
Yes. The colours are nicer too.

4. Is there problem or issue with IpX?
It’s expensive.

But plan to contract with maxis since its about rm1K chepaer

I read the reviews that IpX prone scratches compared to Ip8? Is it true?
Should i buy bumper case or full cover case like UAG/otterbox?

Anybody got their iPhone X during launch and now the health percentage is 95%? So sad I always take good care of my phone.

I always charge before 20% and never let it die except once. Or maybe it is heat when I use my gps waze quite often

Is it defect unit? 😭

This really depends on how often you charge your phone and how many life cycles your battery went through. By the way, these battery tests are also very subjective and accuracy is questionable. Different apps will give you different readings on your battery health.

Battery tests are very subjective, depending on a lot of other conditions as well.

1) not if you mainly use it horizontally, for side way reading, best to hold with the notch at the right, if your reading content is left-to-right
2) Safety first bro...but in that sort of condition, i would say...TouchID safer... is it quicker...identical
3) OLED vs IPS, u verify it
4) not so far for mine

I think the X and the 8 Plus are made of the same glass material, hence not one is likely to scratch more or less than the other. I’m currently using a tempered glass screen protector with Otterbox simply coz I spent so much on the phone, wouldn’t want to regret not spending a little on protection in case accidents do happen biggrin.gif

My wife takes care of her 8 Plus as well, no overnight charging, no wireless charging, hardly ever charges to 100 or let it drop below 20, and her battery capacity shows 98%. So no, don’t think your unit is defective.

I am not sure whether this would make sense...charging the iphone by turning it off could effect the battery.

I always had 2 iphones...for me and my wife and curently my battery health is still at 100% but my wife's iphone is now rated to 99%

Its also happened to my wife's previous iphone 6 which a notification "your iphone battery may need to be serviced".

Both my wife's the iphones was charged during it was turns off.

But this is just an assumption. Not sure it is a valid cause.

Lithium-ion batteries love being charged as much as possible. Don't even have to worry about leaving it charging overnight as long as you are using a certified MFI (Made for iPhone) cable and a non-defective charger. 👌🏻

mine is launch set. now still 100%. did a lot of wireless charging. wireless charging is best for the battery i guess, slow rate and low temp. i’ll just put the phone on the wireless dock whenever i’m not using.

Android phones usually 2 years before I change. For this ipx am planning for 3 years.

It’s a phone (tool) not a child (family). Battery can be replaced when necessary ha ha.
