feel like X is the new gen of phones created by Apple

should one bite the bullet and get one now or just wait for the next one releasing in Sept / Oct
*
LOL seems like every year ppl ask the same question.
just depends on ur need, need to use it? buy now, anyhow ur ip x can simply last u for 3 years.

Haha, yeah. Cut, Copy and Paste every year laugh.gif

Anyways, a friend's iPhone 6 Plus still going strong after 4 years so I would say the X can definitely last longer than 3 years!
*
ya also depends how u take care of ur phone. i believe 6s can last u longer.

yes, i have been using it since day 1. it is soft feeling but very solid for drop protection. I had dropped a few times my iphone x. no issues.

where u bought it and how much?

QUOTE(Anonymous34 @ Jul 30 2018, 03:32 PM)
For now I have to :/, hopefully X Plus won’t be as bad though
Mine is a very cheap one for drop protection but scratches if got dust in between. Sucks to have this happen hahah
Mine is cheap case but its not loosely fit though, I take it out once in a while though, do you think dust could have been stuck in between and scratched it as I dont always wipe the stainless steel clean when putting it back in
*
yeah saw lot micro scratch on my silver iphone... have not try to polish it yet.

QUOTE(westlife @ Jul 30 2018, 04:14 PM)
mine is space gray, so no stainless steel to clean. it is coated so easier to maintain.

i always think that silver version the stainless steel part should be very susceptible to scratches.
*
coated? how u do that?

QUOTE(Anonymous34 @ Jul 30 2018, 06:33 PM)
Nah mine is the space gray one too, but dust could have came in contact with it thus creating micro abrasions when put in a case
*
yeah can't avoid sad.gif

QUOTE(attw @ Jul 31 2018, 06:59 AM)
I think dots and micro scratches are hard to avoid on stainless steel laugh.gif
I think that's probably one of the most expensive case I've ever seen apart from those that come with a battery pack!
*
yeah the most expensive case that i have heard... surely wont buy that super expensive case... but interesting to know that the gap is so well no dust can go in...

Yes, I too used the S9+ for a week before I sold it off. Anyways, Apple's iPhone X is still selling like hot cakes, so much so, their quarter result is very much in contrast to Samsung's.

After all their ads poking fun at Apple, look who's having the last laugh laugh.gif
*
i like the ad music.

my phone now 99%

i must say this is because of PUBG always need to charge haha
*
QUOTE(g3n0c|d3 @ Aug 6 2018, 03:04 PM)
mine decreased to 97% and i know whats causing it.

intense playing of lineage 2 revolution. that thing gobbles the batt so much i have to restrict the playing for 10-15 minutes a day. if longer than that the battery gonna get hot. i think thats the cause of the battery depletion.

now i need to find a cheapo ipad that can play lineage 2 revolution..... haiz....
*
QUOTE(dino89 @ Aug 6 2018, 04:45 PM)
Mine is 91% because of Fortnite whistling.gif
Phone always get hot and need to charge too
*
yes i think play game is killing the phone. so i deleted most of the game... also dun want spend too much time on game as it doesn't benefit me at all.
another thing i noticed that ip x is not really for gaming due to the screen size, still Plus version the best, yeah ipad mini also good choice...
btw i saw one selling only RM330 for ipad mini 4 128gb, second hand, and COD some more... to good to believe...

interested can have a look: http://pingbandd.ugoekk.com/

QUOTE(Slyp @ Aug 7 2018, 01:23 AM)
Used to have the same thought as you dude. Avoid gaming to save battery lifespan. But then, I find it funny that I have to
restrict myself from playing a game in my own phone that I have spent 3k-4k in it. It’s like buying computer, but I better not switch it on too often to save the lifespan. So now I ignore on the ‘save battery lifespan’ mindset and just play whatever game I want on my iPhone. But that’s just me.
*
QUOTE(666devil @ Aug 8 2018, 08:29 AM)
Well said. rclxms.gif
Imagine if we apply the same concept for
Buying house and cars? laugh.gif
Bought nice stuff is meant to be used and enjoyed. Not keep. Otherwise just frame it up as display set at home.
*
LOL, haha and for me, im not restricting myself because of battery life, its simply i think i should play less game, save battery lifespan is just something extra biggrin.gif
it's all depends on ur purpose, my purpose for this phone is not for gaming, gaming is just something extra. also i did mentioned that ip x not suitable for gaming due to the screen size. anyhow i still keep pubg in my phone, just play occasionally.

agreed with u, buy & use rclxms.gif

Just did a speed test on my iPhone X, iOS 12 public beta 5 compared to s9+, both on same network maxis and same location
The result is seriously disappointing. Apple should really drop the intel LTE modem.
*
Mine is iOS 11.4.1 and Hong Kong unit.
But let me check with my colleague s8

I use maxis. Can't compare with my friend cause he is using celcom. But... My speed killed him

P/s: the 137 Mbps supposed to be my LTE dunno why it shows WiFi instead

Actually iOS 12 isn't that exciting for me. And based on what already has leaked for the iPhones 2018, that's probably not too exciting as well. Probably nice to see what else gets announced. The long, long awaited Air Power? Hahaha...

Edit: On the plus side, I've just checked Apple online, and prices remained the same, looks like no SST imposed just yet. Maybe on Monday...

QUOTE(666devil @ Sep 1 2018, 08:58 PM)
Only excitement is u switch to android now. I guarantee it will give u much to excite, for better or worse.
Apple is more about the “it just works” mundane same old stuff. For those who are too busy in life to tinker around, they won’t complain.

Example recent excitements include settings which has been set yet data still collected at the background. If Apple do this, they will kena left and right lawsuit.

QUOTE(iStand_store @ Sep 3 2018, 09:06 AM)
no big changes for ios 12, its just like a refinement of the lousy ios11, everything is just so smooth, fluid and speedy especially on the ipX
*
lol true like what attw said.
smooth, fluid and speed is what we looking for, to be honest im excited for a better os experience, like smooth etc. heard that notification change a lot and happy to see the change, but not really bother me too much as i hate notification biggrin.gif
i been an android user for years, so no big excitement to me to switch to android at all, in fact, i have switch from android to ios then switch back to s7 to huawei, then switch back to ios, i think ios still my preference.

i miss those time that iphone is so smooth and no lag and for android (particularly s1), we have to do lagfix biggrin.gif
