Hello all, for tube feeding through the nose, if the tube wrongly inserted to the lung and not inserted to stomach, what will be the consequences considering the patient was feed with milk and water? Thanks.

Aspiration pneumonia. The person will cough out the feed if his reflex intact. If not, he’ll go into respiratory distress, may lead to death. If tube feed planned for long term, do consider button gastrostomy for safety and ease

If respiratory distress, what symptom we can see?
