here's what i observed refund treatment between Lazada and Shopee.

Lazada: PBB will clawback the cb.

Shopee: PBB doesnt clawback the cb. meaning, you still earned the cb from Shopee transactions but wont get the cb clawback-ed after a Shopee transaction refunded.

Seems like refunds from Shopee is like a "payment", hence PBB doesnt treat it as a transaction. whereas for Lazada, a refunded transaction is a like a "voided transaction", so PBB counted the cb for a refund as well.

Hi, i just got approval for the public bank visa gold and a new credit card user here
Can I know how the balance transfer, cash back and installment plan work?
For example I purchased a pc for rm3000.
Is it better for me to use balance transfer? (can it be transfer from another bank card with own by my gf?)
How much is the cash back and how it work?
How to calc the installment plan? Is it better for shorter or longer period?

Beside that, does the cash back include petrol?
*
balance transfer is if you have balance on one card, you transfer it to another bank card .not applicable to you
cash back is if your card offers that, they will give you a cash back for your purchases .(few percent if you qualify)
installment plan - usually 0%, off course longer is better if it is low interest, if high interest, you do the math

Thanks for the info
I think my card do offer 0.1% cash back. So how do it work?
The zero percent only applicable to certain shop right? If the shop don't have then I subject to 5% for 24 months and 7% for 36 months(upfront not interest). So how it calc and how is it different from interest
*
cannot be 0.1% cashback, most likely is 5% etc...
yes, zero percent only applicable to certain shops, if not you will have to apply for installment plan, which locks up the interest and repayment term. otherwise you will have to serve your normal credit card interest which is 18% (unless you have good record and bank grant you something lower)

https://www.pbebank.com/Personal-Banking/Ca...-Visa-Gold.aspx
in this link it say 0.1%?

Besides that, if the installment plan is 7% upfront for 36 months with minimum rm3000. Can i have few transaction to sum up the rm3000?
https://ringgitplus.com/en/easy-payment-pla...xipay-Plan.html
in this link it say 3 days after transaction or 5 days before next statement date. if i wan to sum up the transaction, then i shall contact them 5 days before statement date or i shall try to make the transactions in the same day and contact them after 3 days?

On more thing, in https://www.pbebank.com/pdf/Promotions/tc_f...ay-jan-jun.aspx. It stated "The Cardmember shall pay the Flexipay Monthly Installment in addition to the 5% monthly minimum payment due on the rest of the balance outstanding (if any)". what this mean? mean i have to pay addition 5% of the minimum or only if the repayment is lower than the 5% minimum payment?
*
hahaha. 0.1% is so low, but it is for everything lo....
usually its one transaction la
5% + monthly minimum la. but if you pay like this, it will take forever for you to repay. merely only covering interest & finance charges

i dont think petrol include lo and if apply for installment then no cashback
damn sad wanna buy pc using the card but not everything can be bought in the same shop
walao eh monthly repayment also jia lat liao and need to add 5% somemore? haih..

since this is your newly applied credit card
please make sure you spent within your means
do not try to pay back in low installments % as interest charged is very high, and if late payment also penalty is very high

CC comes with big responsibility and prudent spending

so if i want to make transaction rm2000 + rm1000= rm3000. do u have any suggestion how should i pay off and how it calc?
*
for me simple, if i can pay off in lump sum, i will never take installment plan
if i take installment plan, I always look for 0% or the lowest interest
all also depends on your flexibility of funds la, if you have more money to spent, better pay off the amount than to take installment, do remember bank charge interest.

Guys, I called CS and requested to change my statement day & transaction alert threshold amount. But the CS agent said that there is no such service from PBB. He said if I use the card (paywave or pin), there will be no sms. Is this true?
*
paywave maybe no sms cause transaction is capped, but pin sure got sms ma
