For dining category do you guys check the list first? Or most dining place would support the cash back?
*
Most of places where you can eat can get cash back. Just need to be careful with cafes and restaurants which might be linked to hotels..

Darrenz

Confirmed eCommerce transactions (valid under online category):
SWEETSPOT-EC KUALA LUMPUR MY (Paid using Visa Checkout on Sweetspot App)
KFITCOM*FAVECOM MY KUALA LUMPUR MY (Usage of FavePay using Fave App). Note: Fave is listed in post 1, but there was an earlier question regarding Fave/FavePay, because no OTP was requested when using the card for FavePay.

QUOTE(putra23 @ Dec 31 2017, 11:19 PM)
Recently Fave apps purchase did not trigger OTP. No cash back when received statement. Appealed and CS called back within three days. Told me that cannot get cash back. Need to manually key in credit card details, and cannot pre register in apps. I asked CS, if Fave not online, then what is it as I did not key in my pin or physically tap my card?

I requested for second review. CS reminded me to manually key in credit card details in the future. Told him no issue as I will not be using PBB cards for Fave. Got my cash back a few days after that. Considering to use YOLO.

Hey I noticed Favepay is listed as online in first page.

Paid with favepay & also bought voucher last month.

No cash back.  cry.gif Notice previous thread people are having no cb as well.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Feb 13 2018, 09:40 AM)
i believe there are conflicting info here and here and others.
*
OK.. So for my 2nd use of FavePay, I didn't get CB anymore. As per putra23's case, I've saved the credit card details in the FavePay app, thus no OTP requested..

When I first reported FavePay CB earlier, it was my first time registering the PBB card into FavePay, and paying.. I also called up CS to confirm the MCC/PosMode, in which I was informed I will get CB.. I also confirmed the CB in my statement..

So, it seems like to get CB for FavePay, we must not save the credit card number in the app, and have to enter credit card info every time.. Darrenz, could you update the first page for this condition?

I'm trying but seem hard. I wonder anyone trying too. Pbb always block my card after certain amount. When I email them to complain, keep telling me daily RM250 but sometimes RM250 over several days also block.
*
I've already completed 10 transactions on 8th Feb.. till now no CB yet.. CB not as efficient as previous MasterCard promo..

so far, only issue i faced is that contactless transactions (whether PayWave or SPay) is blocked after 10 consecutive contactless transactions.. need to use PIN to reset..

but most of my transactions are small amount transactions.. bigger transactions within the same day are only as follow (which all managed to get through without issues):
--
8am Petrol Pre-Auth RM 200 (Actual = RM 15)
1pm Dining RM 150
--
6:30pm Petrol Pre-Auth RM 200 (Actual RM 15)
6:32pm Petrol Pre-Auth RM 200 (Actual RM 15)
--
8am Petrol Pre-Auth RM 200 (Actual RM 15)
5pm Petrol Pre-Auth RM 200 (Actual RM 15)

Did you wave at pump or pay at cashier? If cashier then definitely no pre-auth. I stop pumping at caltex because it wouldn't go through most of the time. Some Caltex station set pre- auth at RM24x. The only card I managed to use with Caltex is my hlb debit card since the limit set was RM400 accumulative transaction.

And no cb just yet. IIRC tnc said will be credited when promo over.
*
I've always done this at the pump at Caltex.. doing self-service for the following benefits:
1. don't need to deal with cashier, sure can use spay..
2. can scan & pump repeatedly.. particularly useful during the previous MasterCard promo.. waved & pumped 3 consecutive times so that can easily hit 27 transactions.. forgo'ed the Samsung Reward points for this.. malas to contact customer service to get back the points every time..
3. fast & don't need queue.. doing 3 consecutive transactions was even faster than someone who pays manually at the cashier..
4. no weird stares from cashier & other people..
5. final benefit that i've started recently: can use physical card for pin & pay.. pump RM 1 of petrol to reset the contactless limit.. tongue.gif

although there's the preauth of RM 248, i never had issues hitting the limits on total amount.. as mentioned above, there were times that i did 3 consecutive transactions without issues.. but this did cause me to hit the 5x max daily samsung pay transaction for my SC card..

so far, I've used the following cards at Caltex successfully:
PBB VS
Citi Cash Back
SC Gold MC (no reward points)..

anyone received email on

Sorry, we are unable to add your card ending xxxx to Samsung Pay wallet due to multiple token enrolled. Please call PB Card Services at 03-21768000 for assist

? really need to call?
*
I've received it twice already.. the first time I called, they said that indeed there was an attempt to register for Samsung Pay.. as I wasn't the one trying it, she said that it was possible that my card is compromised, and asked if I wanted to block my card & re-issue a new card..

but I've been monitoring my transactions, don't see anything fishy.. so just ignored it for now..

how can we not receiving sms for an attempt to register our card...doesnt make sense...

Yup. Weird that I didn't get it also. But I checked my phone number wasn't changed. That's why I just ignored it for now.

I'm suspecting there's something wrong with PBB backend.

Hi Guys. If i bought online through lazada for 2 transactions, 700++ and and 300++ respectively, will i entitled rm50 on top of the master quantum  cashback capped at rm30?
*
You'll only get RM 10 extra, not RM 50. Both transactions need to be at least RM 500 to get the RM 50.

For Internet Banking access, do I need to go to the branch?
I don't have CASA with PBB.

QUOTE(hebe87 @ Apr 7 2018, 08:27 PM)
yes. need to go to the branch in person as they need to verify ur ic and thumb print

Should be no need. Last month my wife got her cards and I managed to register for her directly online.

Try this
https://www.pbebank.com/Personal-Banking/Ca...Cardmember.aspx

Note: This was only successful when she got her own primary cards. It didn't work when she only had my supplementary card.

Do this apply to removed cancelled card ?
Last time, last yr when I got my VS, I filled up form to link my e-banking and remove the cancelled card

But in the end no remove...
Not bother to follow up anymore
*
Lol.. I'm not PBB CS, so I'm not sure.. I only shared based on my experience on getting access to active cards..

It's an online form.. No harm trying to do it yourself for the cancelled card..

Hi, would like to ask about Samsung Pay. Heard from my friend that Samsung Pay give reward points which can be accumulated and used to redeem as some cash back.
Just wondering,  if I tied the PBB VS to the samsung pay account and do some transaction. Will the transaction still follow the merchant code and earn 6% cash back from PBB?
Which means 6% pbb cashback + samsung pay points.
*
Yes.

Thanks. I just found it too  sweat.gif

By the way, any idea about UOB payonline for TIME?
I only found:
"UOB PayOnline (TNB, TM, DBKL, MBPP, MPSP, MBSA, Celcom)"
Is this included TIME as well?
*
Just curious why you want to use UOB PayOnline for Time? Payment directly through Time portal already can get online cash back. Is there something I'm missing here?

Hi guys, need some help here
I recently applied for Quantum card and approved on 15th June. My billing cycle is on the 13th of each month

I just called Public Bank CS to ask on my latest statement. According to the CS my first statement will only arrive on the 13 Aug (next month) and not 13 July bcos for first statement they can't generate it by today 13th Jul.

Effectively this means that I only get 1 month of cashback for approximately 2 months of spending? Anyone experienced this?
*
Can write to them after you get your first statement. They'll credit back to you manually.

anyone got experience to activate PBe account for person who only has PB credit card but without saving/current account?

previously I applied for a supp card and managed to open an PBe account.

now I applied another supp card but failed to open an PBe account. What I did is I go to PB ATM machine and slot in the supp card, then click request for PBe pin. I get reject code.

Thanks in advanced.

If they're a principal card holder, can directly do it online without going to atm/branch.
