It is possible to get RM5k in Malaysia and I congratulate you for that. The big problem is that the majority of employers out there don't think it's worth paying RM5k even to highly qualified people because most companies are willing to skimp and get second/third rate people and services. We're just not competitive enough on the whole, sad but true.  sad.gif

Agree.. for those BS posts which stated they're getting 5K within 2-5 years of working after graduation in Malaysia
are nothing but lies! I dare them to post their payroll stub and employment date here to proof it.

i worked in 3 american companies and i realised this in all 3 companies.

asians are a lot more hard working and discipline. sometimes, we are even more creative. we put more energy and effort and time in completing our job.

americans on the other hand. is very good in talking. almost everyone can talk. and I am not only saying that their english level is good (thats obvious). I am saying that they can convery their ideas and thoughts in a much more effective manner than asians.

at first, i thought its because their english is good since its their first language. later, i realised that even an average malaysian chinese were to communicate something in his/her mother tongue, he/she would not be able to do it as good as the americans.

maybe its all becoz we, malaysians,  learn too many languages?

I don't believe it has anything to do with language.. it is perhaps culture, personality or attitude thing.

I also worked with those expats in the past.. personally, at first, I thought it is Asians thing..
but found out later, not entirely correct.

I believe only local asians are usually less expressive in the work place,
but foreign born asians are more expressive especially those who came from overseas (Western countries),
whites and blacks are also the same.. very opinionated in every subject, hence
sounds like they are talkative.

MNC with foreign boss likes their employees to be expressive, to give ideas and to share
but local asian boss likes their employee to work like dog - "Oi..ah beng! Shut up and do your work"

Hence, most of us likes to work for foreigner boss.
