@weehoi,
You cant really convert in order to make comparison cause a simple nasi goreng will cost you RM32. However, you can state that £3,000 can buy a whole lot more things than RM3000. Rental and public transportation cost in London if compared dollar-per-dollar is almost the same as KL. It's just that other things like groceries, broadband, mobile phone bills, electricity, cable TV, clothing, travel and etc are more affordable there.

And they're complaining about having to pay £200 a year for electricity. Pfft some of us even pay that amount a month!

It's easier than you think wink.gif Especially if you're a science/engineering worker. Look up for Tier 1 High Skilled Migrant visa. Employers dont even have to sponsor a permit for you.

Hahahaahah tongue.gif . Here's another way to do it. Get a masters degree (average 140k 'investment' - tuition fees and living expenses), work there for 2 years under Tier 1 - Post-Study Work (no income requirement).

After two years of earning in £, you can apply to transfer to General Highly Skilled Migrant class. It will be so much easier for you to meet the income requirement compared to when you're applying in Malaysia. Am doin it next year wink.gif

Added on July 3, 2008, 8:16 amBtw, MBA requirement in HSMP is not valid anymore since HSMP is dead and gone now. Try the new calculator :

and the post-study work calculator

Good luck rclxms.gif .

It says there yearly income. If you can get proof income from doing freelancing etc and declare it in your income tax form, I think you should have no problem getting it smile.gif
