that amount just as example, how much debt is depend on income, what i mean here is atleist u got commitment to keep on making more money.

I don't 100% agree with you !! You might the correct some part here & there.

I think we need to have Desire to earn money.
Not because of commitment, we only earn money.
Commitment is a burden, Desire is a passion that will push you beyonds your limit..

People need to owe money to bank because most people can't earn enough income to buy a house/ car. So, they choose to borrow !!

The best is you are able to Buy the House/Car without borrowing/with minimum of borrowing

To be wise, we get what we afford. Or else, u will end up in bankruptcy.

there's another perspective to look at it.. by looking it through the element of "time"..
that's where gratification comes in.. most people want to have it NOW.. but NOW is a problem to affortability.

hence, you can eventually afford it.. but it's not now.. and there's an option to satisfied the NOW requirement.. which is to "borrow" (and that's the easier option).. and thus, like how you put it nicely, minimum borrowing which is ideal, requires time..

do you ever ponder why some earn good money at a young age?
apart from the norm that defines it.. there's also another point of view.

which is.. think of how you can sell a RM40 screwdriver set by charging it up to RM233?

such practices do make easy money flowing recklessly.. don't you think? (as we all eventually know, it's not sustainable)

I have a friend, close friend of mine actually. IT Grad. Graduated at age of 21 (usual). Worked for his ex-company for about 2 years plus. Working there.. he was not so happy with the pay and increment and his type of work. He was a programmer for some kind of language and .. as i know to my knowledge before he left he was earning around $2800.

Then he left the company to join some sort of his rival company at the age of 23 (now) and he got a pay rise and he is earning somewhere $4000 ++. Why he is given such a pay.. because when he was working at his ex-company the programming language that he was doing, actually not many ppl knows how to do it. Now his current company gave his a hike in his pay and gave him a position as Technical Consultant. Working something like a Project Manager.

Now he realised that at his ex-company he hated the job that he was doing, but because he was doing it that is why he is getting such a pay and he is in demand.

So guys out there., do your job honestly and work hard to learn and gain the knowledge. Then that is how you will be evaluated if you want to get a high salary or so. When we have good sound knowledge on the work that we do, the demand for you will come automatically. No need to apply for job also. Ppl will come looking for you.

A croupier is more towards a person who deals cards.

A card counter is a person whose maths and statistics are so good that they can beat the casino and win money!

it is a valid occupation, so to speak?
i once took a class where the professor loves to talk about casino and gambling..
(you got it right, it's a statistics class)..
but at the end of the semester.. he laid down a tricky caveat.. "don't bet your pants on it"

i guess that word of advice kept us all straight.. laugh.gif

I'm below 5k, but joined my colleagues in the sales team for a few months. That's where the money is. Basic lower than my salary, but with commissions and bonuses, sometimes they can hit more than 10k per month for many months in a row, but its hard life.

Must be willing to do whatever it takes to make deals work, travel a lot sometimes, no personal life cos always looking out for next deal and meeting ppl nonstop.

I tried it and ended up getting less than going back to my orignial department.

All I would say sales is not an easy job as ppl think it is.
Also, it's not everybody's cup of tea so to speak.
I know I'm not suitable for sales, thus I never involve myself in sales.
There are many opportunities in sales, and you have to master the art to succeed in it.

Sales if you like to talk and have a pure power of persuasion... if not... dont easily wandering around in sales related job or you end up changing lots of job after being hit hard by your bos every month because can reach the target...

it is not possible to get a high pay job... what you need in this "Look at my cert country" is a good damn high qualification and talents... some fresh graduate in my company start up with just RM2.5k but after 6 month or a year when they gain experienced... they try out for other company... and guest what.. some of them got a jump twice or tripple of current salary...

Just be confident in what you are doing and work for satisfaction... (well the pay is count) I'm currently 28 and my current basic salary is 5 digit..

10K by age 28, possible....but no life...

Some people do claim they earn more than 10K at the age of 28 in Malaysia so I'm curious to know the success story smile.gif Of course it is also undeniable that certain people are making it up.

I think 10K @ 28 would be a pretty good achievement (not the best tho') biggrin.gif
