Its subjective. Some people love sweet/ spicy sambal, fragrant rice or " beras hancur" nasi lemak..etc..
It's a bit of a waste to use fragrant rice (beras wangi) for nasi lemak as the fragrance of the rice is lost since a nasi lemak dish is mainly counting on its sambal and the coconut santan on the rice. Also, the sticky type of fragrant rice is not suitable for nasi lemak. Only the not-so-sticky type of fragrant rice is suitable. Fragrant rice is only good when taken with normal dishes, or when used for chicken rice. The normal (cheap) rice and beras hancur is surely more suitable for nasi lemak than fragrant rice. It's not to say that one cannot use fragrant rice for nasi lemak. It's just that for the high price of Grade AAA fragrant rice, it's a waste since the smell of the fragrant rice will be lost since the nasi lemak is mostly enjoyed for its sambal and santan on the rice which will cover/eliminate all the smell of the fragrant rice.
