I'm going to re-spray my Honda City external part only. I did checked the price with Honda Authorized Body & Paint, they told me the price roughly 4k to 5k. They said the paint is original from Honda. Anyone try to respray your car at Honda service center? How was the service, quality & result?

never heard of what so called original paint from honda - it's all done by third party, it's either good layer paint or single layered paint, a lot taxi do the pain just for cover and within a year or two max you'll see everything fade so please chose wisely...2-3k paint is extreme good d

kena mark up lagi mah, 3rd party charge Honda 2-3k, they also want to untung mah, so end user kena 4-5k lor...

go find glasurit paint workshop .
good quality. even lambo or porsche repaint there.
i believe 3-5k should fit your budget

nope. if send to honda body & paint centre..no 3rd party involve. it's not the original paint but the paint job will be under warranty from honda. expensive yes. oem quality or fitting (if install skirting etc). but then u can always look around for a good and cheap paint shop outside.

Serious? Even mercs and BMW sub to 3rd party workshop for paint job!

RM2K can get you a decent paint job and RM3K a good paint job. Don't go overboard, you are not going to keep the car forever.

merc and bmw got no 4s centre maa. That's why still use 3rd party workshop. Honda got 4s.

yeap for external..3k is already enough.

Honda wont be giving warranties on paint jobs as these are done by Authrorised Dealers who might have a body and paint centre or they pass out to third party contractors. For any defects, you will need to deal directly with the dealer themselves just like any paint workshops out there.

of course le.. bcause not all authorized dealer got 4s.

i strongly agree to this my previous honda got bang in the service center, the manager told me they will bare the respray, i can tell you is a shitty job, same like what they told you, original paint from honda. ya rite. paint come out foggy and orange peel

add-on : my car was bang last year and bring back to honda for original paint job and now as of today the paint place got rust started, i was like WTF !@#$%^

Just wondering can we repaint the car with diff colour than what we initially bought?

Honda original paint uses KANSAI. The fogginess and orange peel are actually due to bad paint job during application of clearcoat.

Can be remedy with a good polish and detailing session.

sold the car, it chipped easily and the color is off darker compare to the original paint. in all, they sub their job to other local paint shop

If your car is new and under warranty, better do it at Honda. If outside, got some cases original parts missing and swap resulted with warranty void.

yes u can but what i heard need to submit to puspakom and update them too. but i believe not much people report it too.

from what i know prices in Puchong area, RM1800-2200 can settle dy.

Just for reference, I was quoted approx 5K to spray paint the exterior of a CRV at a Honda authorised B&P w'shop in KL.

When my accord had accidents 2 years ago, it was repaired at honda body and paint sg long and under insurance. To be honest eventhough the total price is about 14k-15k for rear bumper and rear bonnet, the quality after install is poor.

Send back also cant do anything. The poor fit/gap between bumper to car body
