hi guys, i have unifi fof home broadband however house back and upstairs room weak coverage.

wondering any solution for this? whats the best and latest tech as have read theres wifi extender plug etc but not sure which suitable and best.

my current unifi with dlink dir 615 router, with spec below:
wireless N300,2.4ghz

thanks in advance.

I would suggest you change your router first and foremost, as your DLink router is very old and would not be sufficient for your needs. I would recommend this router: https://www.lazada.com.my/tp-link-ac1750-wi...d5c1aMnsx8&mp=1, unless you want something more powerful.

If you prefer something better and from ASUS, which will be more expensive, I recommend this router: https://www.lazada.com.my/asus-rt-ac1300uhp...-111894251.html

Change your router first, and don’t worry about WiFi extender, plug, or powerline.

noted and thanks bos for the input, however i am wondering though to invest for a best router as mentioned or to get an better/newer router and pair with wifi extender...

thanks again...

I would suggest a best router, and not a better/newer router, and forget about pairing with wifi extender or power line. Just get one excellent router that will do the job.

thanks but which better because for spec Asus price can get tplink flagship model? i see even antenna counts make different, ram and processor speed, mimo features etc.

which budget friendly but feature and spec rich model regardless brand. or for beamforming and mu-mimo model cheapest from how much?

thanks again.

TP-Link flagship models are very good. I am using TP Link C3150 v2, and it’s features are comparable to more expensive ASUS routers, so it is up to you. Cheapest from Tp Link would be RM730 onwards for what you are describing, which is the TP Link C3150 v2.

I would go for the TP Link AC3150 v2 if you can afford it. I am using it now and no complaints so far. Very stable and reliable. Get it here: https://www.lazada.com.my/tp-link-archer-c3...fe9cHs0d3x&mp=1

np thanks 'silentvampire' and 'avfan' again for all the input.

No worries bro. The ASUS AC1300 UHP is a great choice and I could only recommend Tp Link Archer C7 v4 if you want something cheaper, but I would buy the ASUS AC1300UHP anyway as it is the right choice in your situation.
