i m using rtac1300uhp.

before i recommend it to you, can u describe the impt things first:

.. what unifi speed?
.. how many devices u use - what devices, old, new..?
.. how big is your house approx... furthest distance covered how far... 40, 50, 60 ft?
.. how many concrete walls worst case need to go thru?
.. is router placed at lower front corner or upper back corner of house?

30mbps... 3 walls... 60 ft... a little tough.

i dare not say what will surely be good for u... can only say:

... the stock router can't do a good job for such wifi demands, that's for sure.

.. if u go cheap like <rm300, either u get a non gigabit router or a poor one.

.. if u spend >rm500, it may not be worth it for 30mbps.

... if u use repeater, it gets 1/2 of 30mbps... +3 walls... u probably end up <5mbps in the demanding spot(s).

.. still, can consider what i bot 2 months ago - asus rtac1300uhp - rm520... gigabit, dual band.. excellent for me.

.. i get good results, good enough for even the 55 ft deep corners of my typical 2s house with 100mbps.

.. laptops typically run on 2.4ghz... this, u may get poor results except if u buy a dual band adaptor (rm50-250) to run on 5ghz (together with dual band router).

.. ipads and newer phones/tablets should have dual band - use 5ghz, u get excellent results... unless distance too far.

.. the router u buy... better be able to take u to 50, 100mpbs if/when u upgrade; the one i use now can do that very well.

do read my post #7680:

sorry, can't help...

i am not a router enthusiast or pro on the subject... i am just an ordinary user.

so, i can only share my experience with the router i recently acquired, which has been very good for my use.

practically plug n play, great stable speed, trouble free... and not too costly.

my use is for a typical home, one which i believe many are like that - pc's, tablets, phones, smart tv's, android boxes - ethernet+wifi.

no gaming, no cctv, no exotic purpose.
