When did McD silently hiked their Pricing?, McChicken RM 8.99 now RM 9.50

QUOTE(xpole @ Jan 31 2018, 02:41 PM) Since PAK ARAB takeover Malaysia MCD, they keep increase price non stop. yes ever since Arab taking over ownership, price has been kept on increasing. but once again, got demand got price hike lor. i stop eating McD two years back when they put in almost 25% increase on all menu (after Arab took over). but still lots of people willing to pay expensive price for shitty food so they keep milking lor. frankly i cannot understand why people want to spend so much on lousy food when there is better alternative elsewhere.I still remembered during Golden Arches time, they still maintain price and can make the Lunch and Dinner set price. But since Gerbang Alaf takeover, habis semua nak naik harga. This post has been edited by tictac88: Feb 1 2018, 07:45 AM |

QUOTE(KLboy92 @ Jan 31 2018, 03:45 PM) It didnt jump from Rm5.95 to Rm9.50 overnight. the increase is done over just a period of 3 years. in 2015 it was still RM5.95, now RM9.50. 60% increase in 3 years. average 20% inflation each year. Has been growing slowly. Which is why I like threads like this. Look back over the history of /k and you can track the gradual increase in food prices over time i boycott long ago. to support this kind of food outlet means supporting unreasonable inflation. just look at other alternative, why die die need to eat McD? not like it is that good in the first place. |

Thanks i eat KFC jimat box also cheaper than the RM10.50 mcChicken. for healthier and cheaper meal, just go with mixed rice or normal hawker food. texas and burger king also have cheaper meal set. |

QUOTE(KLboy92 @ Feb 1 2018, 01:04 PM) Chinese hawkers and mamaks also have increased food prices by as much. just that you don't like the alternative does not mean there is none. already mentioned in my post but you choose to ignore onlyWhat is "unreasonable" inflation? Consider too how long did the price stay at 5.95. Yeah, I do consider other alternatives. I'm looking for somewhere which offers reasonably clean surroundings, air conditioning, 24-hour operation, consistent service every day (not when the cook feels like it), basin and toilet, fills me up for about Rm11 a meal, and oh yes, guaranteed kitchen hygiene because I can't be bothered with a random stomach ache striking anytime. Call me when you can find one such cheaper alternative. dunno why you like that mc chicken so much. like it is god food or something. it tastes so so only and there is much better food and cheaper food for me. QUOTE(KLboy92 @ Feb 1 2018, 02:10 PM) Hah? Where I got say I like McChicken?! My favourite is actually double cisburger. And to be frank Mcd fries is one of the worst in existence. if you only trust those machine cooking fast food chain like McD, there are always wendy and burger king which has cheaper set. if you want tastier fast food but don't mind spending then go Carls Jr. dont want burger then go texas, nando, kenny roger. so many choices. better than that small little sad burger McD makes and healthier. You didn't mention any alternatives in the post you replied to me. Though I see you now mention KFC jimat box or hawkers in a later post. Hawkers. Rm6 for bowl of carbs and MSG, and a few thin slices of meat or a few balls of filler+meat. Zhap fan don't even talk. The best value I've seen is Rm7 for chicken rice. Sit roadside, no drink, and you better not look too closely at the guy's kitchen. I WILL eat... occasionally, at selected places where I know the guy is reasonably clean and I know where he lives. Otherwise... pass. KFC Jimat box is not bad. The trouble is that KFC outlets tend to be dirty, service worse than warung level, air cond tends to be broken, lack of 24 hour service, portion sizes inconsistent, and you can definitely tell by the taste how many days the oil hasn't been changed. |

QUOTE(KLboy92 @ Feb 1 2018, 03:29 PM) Carls Jr tastier? Sorry, don't think so. Tastes exactly like "machine cooking fast food" but with some added ingredients and of course wayyy premium pricing. wendy can change fries to salad lah.Burger king is not bad too. But rare. The outlet near me is dirty. Nando's is a good and genuinely healthy option (except lack of veggies). I'd pick that over any mamak or cina or cafe western any day. Except its a bit expensive. Texas is good too. Especially if want to lepak got free flow drink. Kenny Roger... hahahahhahhaha Not saying I disagree with mamak or hawkers entirely, you understand? But I go to fast food either for convenience or lepak with friends, so consistency and comfort becomes important factors. P.S. plus at home I eat a big bowl of lettuce, carrots, broccoli etc so the lack of greens is not so much a problem. But frankly ALL these options lack vegetables. I wish Msia could be like Europe, in some Mcds there you can swap the fries for a decent size bowl of salad and dressing (the supermarket deli type) for no extra charge. |
