Hello guys, may i know the recommendations for power supply with a budget below RM600.

I am thinking of getting a 750W model. 80+ Gold and fully modular would be great too smile.gif .

Is there a reason why you need 750W?

These days a typical single CPU + single GPU build only draws 300-400W tops (there's a watt calculator for your build at the Cooler Master website). So if you're willing to go down to 600W, you can save tons of money.

A 620W Seasonic M12II Evo is going for RM399 at the moment at Lazada, plus there was an additional RM25 voucher by Maybank & Citibank for CNY to bring the total cost down to RM364.

Thanks for the recommendation, yeah 750w is a bit overkill haha. Just bought the Super Flower Leadex II 650W instead. Its a really nice power supply and very easy to setup thumbup.gif

Dont buy M12II evo series. There is a catch. Yea, its fully modular, its cheap, but its only 80+ bronze rated. The worst part of this PSU is, the fan must be oriented upwards if you mount the PSU at the bottom of the case, if not you can hear the loud whooshing sound from the fan. The components of inside the PSU is definitely excellent though. Dont buy this PSU if you want silent operation. Buy other models.

Umm... I dunno, I have installed it with the fan facing down. No noise. Left the PC running for days to stress test everything, so far zero issues.

Maybe you got a faulty one. It is possible.

My previous PSU was a Cooler Master V750, an 80 Plus Gold PSU. Giler best. But 2 days after installing it started making this awful electrical humming sound that would only go away if I unplugged the power cable from the PSU. Yep... I got a freakin' lemon from brand name like CM. Returned it and got my money back.

I nearly bought that model too since no other shop is selling super flower. But then I went to c-zone luckily they have one unit left.

As ChairmanDrew said - the Leadex II Gold is the best of the lot. In fact the EVGA SuperNova G3 has the same underpinnings as the Leadex II:

https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/SuperFlower/SF-750F14EG/

It's a 750W unit, however it can deliver 750W at 80+ Gold efficiency when connected to a 230V mains (which is what we use right here in this country) and 650W at 80+ Gold efficiency when connected to a 115V mains. icon_idea.gif

However, at 115V inputs, the PSU will not be able to deliver 750W at 80+ Gold efficiency. That doesn't mean the PSU is of poor quality; in fact the PSU is considered one of the best in its class. icon_idea.gif
