Any help ?

You must subscribe to some normal data before you can subscribe to the YouTube addon

Not sure on the MNP and call rates stuff

For your use case, the cheapest plan would be

2GB Data + 400 minutes calling + YouTube add on

But the 2GB data really isn't a great value, as for a bit more you can get their 20gb plan
You could also reduce call minutes if you think 400 is too much

For your use case yoodo might not be the best value, consider all carriers before proceeding

What are the base plan ? I went to the website to customize
Data - 2GB = rm12
Voice - 0
SMS - 0
Youtube - 20GB = rm7

=rm19 Can it work like this ? How does it track you are using youtube ? sometimes browsing youtube with a browser and data saver.

but if I need to call , how much is the call rate ? I can't find call rate charges.?

Currently using other telco but need extra data8-10GB and the most can spend not over rm25
Call not so important since can use whatsapp call.

but if i didn't subscribe to any data but with 100 minutes call and select youtube , will it work ?

Can select 0 for data but 100minites voice + add on youtube = rm12  ?
usage just for youtube.
How does it track you are using youtube ? sometimes browsing youtube with a browser and data saver.
*
the data + yt plan for rm19, yes, regarding tracking, most isps have their ways, it should work in app, may also work with browser? not sure
BUT data saver might affect it

no data + call + yt, cannot, must have some data plan before you can subscribe to data add ons

I just subscribed to yoodo unlimited data 3-4 days ago n used it on my modified wifi lte 4g dongle / portable modem...why it uses my hotspot instead of the internet data ? Now all hot spots finish.
But they say can use in router, portable modem! Currently my INTERNET totally canNOT connect..kept saying NO INTERNET on my laptop.

You're expecting too much if you expect them to allow cheap unlimited plans to be used via hotspot with no cap, no one will let you do that
a dongle/modem is basically that, a hotspot since the activities are done not on the device itself

And hey, they say you can use it, but didnt say you can use unlimited
(honestly they need to reword that)

Consider a plan actually intended for this use case like U Home 5G or Yes 5G Flexi

it is UNLIMITED DATA for use on 1 DEVICE, YOUR PHONE, NOT IN A MODEM

NO FUP Applies to YOUR PHONE only

Using a modem is considered as hotspot because multiple devices connect to said device

In other words
UNLIMITED DATA ONLY FOR USE ON YOUR PHONE
MODEM COUNTS AS HOTSPOT
So, it takes from hotspot quota

Please understand that Modem = Hotspot!

You are again expecting too much if they allow unlimited data for so cheap
other telco like U Mobile also have hotspot limits on Unlimited plans
Again, get a plan that actually allows you to do this like U Home 5G or Yes 5G Flexi

They say can use, they never said it will take from unlimited data pool

It is common sense that Modem = HOTSPOT

Again since you seem to don't understand it
Modem = Hotspot
Modem = Hotspot
Modem = Hotspot

You can use in modem but it will take from hotspot, please understand this.

Are you browsing on the device itself -> not hotspot
Is the data being transmitted to another device via cable or WiFi? -> hotspot

That FAQ is more intended for normal plans, so that you can use say, your 20gb plan all via modem.
Yoodo should really hire a better team to write their docs
They need a proper t&c page

Again, cut your losses since this isn't a contract plan, terminate the line if you so please and as I mention it for the 3rd time, get U Home 5G or Yes 5G Flexi since those plans are designed for modem use.

Ok, you're my senior..a 5 year old, and according to U...
"it is well known simcard on modem is considered as hotspot", OK...then what's  this D Link's DWR-M93O? Or tons of these modified unlocked LTE CPE RS860, TL MR6400, etc the likes.
Since you sound to be an expert maybe shed some light if all these are only for hotspots ? Coz what l came across is that these gadgets were keyworded  as '' modified unlocked unlimited modem router wifi bypass hotspot''  in no particular wording order, etc...in their ads.

I have been using TM's line for over a decade n never changed to others till now...and lately went online to find a modem router and found many sellers tagging stuff like 'WiFi modem router dongle BYPASS hotspot modified unlimited data' etc...l was learning my ropes as a noob....and queried the seller that is it true the modified unlocked dongle WiFi modem can BYPASS HOTSPOT AND DIRECT USE the INTERNET DATA..n he claimed to be so both in the description n chat....then that's where I bought the dongle. My first experience. I was given the impression it was home router modem LITE.  Now I have to buy another new one. There.
*
Ok so, there are 2 types of modems
Firstly, the legit ones from brands like TP-Link, D-Link, Tenda, etc
Then you got the sketchy modded ones from no name brands that claim unlimited data bypass hotspot limit and all of that

Don't just blindly trust whatever words the seller put into their product listing, it's just there to capture all possible words you may use to search for the product

Now, the seller claimed it could bypass, but it couldn't
So either the modem doesn't work as advertised or Yoodo has blocked it (which they have the full right to do so)

The ISP/Telco has the right to block/restrict usage on these modded devices

Now, your dongle isn't exactly useless (unless it's cheap one that only does like Cat4 LTE [max 150mbps])
You can use it with a plan that does not care about you hotspoting, like for example, U Home 5G
Or, redirect your anger at the seller of the dongle and consider not bypassing restrictions set by telco which ruins the experience for everyone

DLINK, CPE etc are ILLEGAL😱😱😱😱
*
dlink legal

those sketchy no name CPE 4G/5G RS880 GT990 PRO PLUS+
not so much

and, ive seen some sketchy sellers put tplink/lenovo/other brands on products not even made by those brands

now, its not legal/illegal in terms of the law...
just in terms of the ISP's eyes...

that irritates me. they didnt do anything shady.
you. just. didn't. understands. enough.

i left yoodo few months ago. but still, i will never says such childish things.
you left. get other telco. be happy. u deserve it.

When you say they didn't do ANYTHING SHADY ...! As per evidence shown below.

now, how many times do we need to tell you

MODEM = HOTSPOT
MODEM = HOTSPOT
MODEM = HOTSPOT
You seem to fail to understand the above

If you subscribe to 100GB plan, feel free to use ALL of the data via modem/hotspot, no one will stop you

BUT

unlimited plan, modem = hotspot!
so, it will take from HOTSPOT quota

Unlimited data is exclusively for use on PHONE only

And to answer your other post
> Well, it's LTE brand found selling in Low Yat too..if LTE modem dongle is sketch why Low Yat sellong n even got people recommending here in LYN? Doesn't that make Low Yat n LYN guilty accomplice?

oh please, LTE is not a brand, that's just the name of the technology
as for low yat selling it, i mean all those illegal tv boxes as well as literal scams are out there, you close one down and 10 pop up
as for recommending, you can see in the u mobile thread discussing bypass is not allowed
and if you go look at u home 5g thread, the suggestions are name brand legal ones like zyxel, zte, huawei, netgear, etc

> My issue is their FALSE REPRESENTATION in their Q&A page!! Since when is FALSE REPRESENTATION a LEGAL RIGHT?
which part of modem = hotspot do you not understand?
they say you CAN USE modem and that is all!
you made the assumption that modem = phone and can use all the unlimited data which is not the case!
or, you were mislead by sly sellers who misrepresented the product
Yoodo never said you were entitled to unlimited service via modem
see above

> Calling out sketchiness= venting my anger...you all Yoodo astroturfers shill are getting real desperate aren't you.
Can only sing u all reprobates praises...too damn thinned skin to be questioned?
Btw what made you think I didn't confront the scammy seller?

I dont even use them or work for them
its just that YOU do NOT understand how do UNLIMITED PLANS + MODEMS work

no telco is crazy enough to let you ABUSE plans meant for PHONES by using a MODEM to download LARGE amounts of data
And yes, yoodo lets you use modems, but HOTSPOT QUOTA LIMITS apply

for the last time, go subscribe to U Home 5G/Yes 5G Flexi\
or fixed fiber
or a non unlimited plan

you are not entitled to unlimited service if you use yoodo unlimited in a modem

As part of the CelcomDigi merger undertaking committed to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), we will be discontinuing the Yoodo brand after 29 Aug 2024.

Starting 19 June 2024,these functions will be disabled from the Yoodo app:

New SIM Order (except replacement SIM)
New SIM Activation (except replacement SIM)
Account Registration
Invite Friends
Customised Validity Extension
You now have an option to:

Port out to a mobile operator of your choice, or
Terminate your Yoodo service, or
Continue your existing plan with CelcomDigi.
Please be assured you will continue to enjoy your existing service (data, voice and SMS) without any interruptions.
*
Interesting, in part of the original terms for the merger, yoodo customers could not be absorbed into celcomdigi

but now it seems like if you take no action, you will be absorbed into celcomdigi

Your existing subscription plan will continue under CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G.

I used BeOne in the past, such a bother, every 30 days got to top up and then have to subscribe to unlimited calls. None of these steps can automate or auto debit. I think it will die off slowly. It's sub brand of OneXox.
*
its actually RedONE

but yeah, barely ever heard of them, ever.

What is the cheapest call plan after Yoodo?
I have two number for my grandma & grandpa for pure calling only. Currently on Yoodo call plan RM12 per month.

Not sure any similar or cheapest plan after this?
*
I think your best options are either

Yes Prepaid FT5G 20
RM20
50gb data, can hotspot, all calls, data rollover

or

TuneTalk EpikCall20
also RM20
10GB (video capped at 360p)
unlimited calls
unlimited wechat/whatsapp/google maps

if you had asked a week or 2 ago, tunetalk was the only option
but now Yes launched this very competitive plan

guys. onexox 28 months long validity still available on their website. I think this is the best option for those looking just to maintain the number validity at the cheapest option. correct me if I'm wrong.

i do have 3 yoodo numbers need to port out soon. all along it costs me rm3 (50 sms) monthly. I no need for data / calls. Just need long validity & cheapest option. now thinking to port my 3 numbers to onexox.

for me onexox had too many hidden t&c
I went with tunetalk tahunan plan instead, rm99/360 days, roughly rm8.25 per month
the other choice is redone amazing8, rm8 per month

hotlink and tunetalk still have pakej perpaduan available currently, but no idea on how long will that last
