No free RM20 for 2nd SIM onwards, RM20 only for first sim, unless you create different account using different id then different story...

yup, only 1 time per NRIC.
*
Not one time, can buy as many times as you can but will expire based on your base plan.

Come...
Teach me how to terminate the plan by 30 Sep instead 6th Oct, so that I can renew another month for 20GB promo data...  wink.gif
*
You can't terminate the plan, but you can order a new SIM and activate it by end of this month to entitle for another 30 days... and buy several times the booster as you needed right before Oct... 😈😈😈

Sifus, normally how long does it take after activating the sim then got line to use?

Activated my sim this afternoon. Replied Y to the sms message from my port out operator digi at 5.30pm today.

Until now still waiting for Yoodo line to be active.
Update: My line only active on the morning of 18/9/18. Looks like MNP does not operate during Sunday and public holidays. So if you guys need urgently to port in, better not do it on a long weekend.  icon_idea.gif
*
Mine same with you. Ported out on 8 Sep (Sat) at 4pm. Then 9th, 10th & 11th a long holiday, called Umobile and the operator said port out service available only from Mon-Sat (Sunday and public holiday are not included), end up I received successful notification e-mail and invoice e-mail on 12 Sep (Wed), the 1st working day after holiday at 1.30pm.

Try to activate whatsapp using sms but the sms never came. So have to use voice call activation. Hope bank tag can come thru.
*
I had no problem to receive verification sms from Whatsapp, I think you just need some extra time to get it done. For HLB credit card, it worked immediately by the day I successfully ported out.

So u ported out from Umobile into Yoodo. When did u receive the sms from Umobile requesting you to confirm you wish to leave them?
*
I tried many times. If early morning like 8am, you'll get the sms at 8.05am; if 9am, then 9.05am; even 4.10pm, you'll get it in 5 mins time at 4.15pm. However, I tried to port-out during night time 9pm but no message received until the next day early morning 8.05am. So I can confirm that the port-out service is processed manually.

Once you select port-out in Yoodo app, you'll receive: Please confirm your request to leave U Mobile. Reply YES or N before 13/07/2018 18:10

You'll receive a confirmation message after replying YES within seconds: We have received your confirmation to leave U Mobile. Your request is being processed

If your port-out fail, this is the message: RM0.00: Hey there, we're sorry but your port in request was rejected by your current service provider.Kindly get help via Live Chat on our app.

If your port-out successful, you'll receive: RM0.00: We've received your port in request and activation is in progress. After you receive an SMS confirmation within 24 hours, just pop your SIM into your phone!

Guys I just got my 2 sim..When activate it ask for plan but i really just want 20gb..
How do I skip this step..
*
You can't skip it, the base plan is a must in order to buy the 20gb booster, at least buy the cheapest plan i.e. 50 sms for RM3.

Based on reply given in yoodo support, if we buy data inside booster after finish there will still be basic data to use.

Question is after that month cycle, if we don't buy data booster in the following cycle will we still have basic data to use?

Maybe you can try it first and let us know.
*
I tried 3 sims in different cycles and it really worked! These 2 days I didn't subscribe to any base plan but still can access lowyat forum as usual but with turtle page loading speed, I think not exceeding 10k/s as shown at notification panel.

QUOTE(harmonics3 @ Oct 29 2018, 01:10 PM)
Can access internet/google map and use waze?
*
I tried on Chrome, TGV app, Yoodo app, HongLeongConnect app, whatsapp no problem except for it's slow speed. Whatsapp listened to voice recording a bit retard... I personally think that can't support Gmap or Waze la so never tried on these two haha!

QUOTE(Aspick @ Oct 29 2018, 01:36 PM)
I too is in the same situation as you. I wonder is it bcoz i mnp my number over that's why no basic data.
Is your number apply new in yoodo app?
And did you subscribe for any data previously but now only on  call plan?
*
I also MNP 3 numbers together and previously not on any data plan, one of it sms plan where another one on call plan since there's data booster promo ongoing, and one just subscribed to RM3 50 sms plan to keep the number for every 90 days (1-month RM3 subscription with another 60 days Grace period, must remember to buy the sms plan on or 1 day prior else the number gone)!

Hey thanks for letting us know. So proven in order to get basic data, first must subscribe to any one of the data booster plan. Not sure though if the basic data has a quota.

Your third number why not port to XOX. Cost only RM10 and validity up to 28mths. No need to keep monitoring until 28 mths later.
*
Hmm... My 3rd number which is subscribed to sms plan only seems got basic data if not mistaken, as I put the SIM inside my daughter's 3g tab but able to receive whatsapp leh...

I knew about XOX 28 mths validity, just lazy to find out how's the port out process...

i just need a cheapest postpaid to keep my second line to receive call, as I have another unlimited main line.

I try yoodo, and its just RM5 for 50mins a month (the lowest).

Is it really RM5 with no hidden charges? (if i dont use anything, just receive call)
*
quote=ajay67,Nov 10 2018, 09:13 AM]
if just receive call (not make call), even the rm3 50 sms is enough.

Yoodo app very informative ...Can see grace period before your sim totally expired.
Buy only what you need monthly......rm3 sms or rm5 voice or 1gb for rm8

If want to hibernate your number....just purchase rm3 every 60 days grace period..
So every 59 days...buy the rm3 sms.
So the most is rm18 yearly like buying 1 year validity.

Flexible Yoodo and easy.
*
Yup, I used to do this, lazy to change to XOX lol...
1-month sms validity followed by 60 days grace period, means RM3 for every 90 days, but of course you need to set phone reminder and better do it 1 day before expiry to avoid unforeseen circumstances...

definitely much better than XOX...

Yes..XOX give 1st time 28month free validity
But if want to make call/sms/data cheaply..need to buy when offer or in bulk
and extract it when want to use..

but then i think Yoodo is much easier..
just buy when necessary...
XOX make it so complicated on their apps unless XOX apps can be revamp similar to Yoodo.
then XOX could be the better Prepaid
*
Agree, a lot of hassles especially when halfway driving using navigation app then suddenly lost gps signal then need to park aside to do all the steps and at last someone sat behind black face lol...

is it normal that after 2 days after i ordered the free sim, nothing happened?
it's not even shipped yet
*
Strange. I've ordered 7 sims altogether but only 2 of them late (2 days), another 5 very prompt on the next day, less than one day it taken.
