Let me know what everyone think of this? It's using Celcom's network so I assume coverage should be alright.

Pricing however can be better... but you can choose what you need or don't need.

How is the validity like and are they using Celcom network 2G, 3G and 4G?
*
I think it's a monthly term plan. Apparently using all of celcom's network upto 4G?

Just ported in my number for a plan with
10GB internet
100 min calls
50 sms

for RM60/mo. Not the cheapest but suits what I need, minus the 5gb+5gb weekend bullshit that i absolutely hate.

Will see how it performs (celcom network) when it arrives!

I use the Digi ambassador 68 plan. If you make more than 100 minutes of calls, this is even better. No weekend weekday data bullshit too. But no free sms.
*
that's cool, did not know about it. How do I sign up? there's no mention of ambassador plan on their website?
Also, where's your location and how's the coverage/stability? Main reason i'm porting out of umobile is because of the terrible stability in my signal. I'll get stuck on E for the entire day sometimes and not able to use even Waze.

this constraint seems to be a deal breaker to me..
I guess because there is no credit in the account since it is not prepaid nor postpaid
so if I didn't buy any SMS then I urgently need to SMS then I am stucked?
*
Yup, seems like a terrible oversight. Hope they'll make some changes to their policy

yoodo own and run by celcom itself so it not MVNO. just another celcom plan
prepaid because link direct with credit/debit. prepaid = pay first no money no talk, postpaid = paid month later after billing ready

price same like xpax
2GB at RM20/month, 5GB at RM30/month, 10GB at RM50/month,  10GB of YouTube at RM20/month.

facebook/instagram have to pay. free 10GB on xpax  value RM20
5GB Facebook or Instagram at RM10/month
*
Just found out recently that yoodo owned and operated by celcom axiata.

QUOTE(fkinmeng @ Feb 1 2018, 04:09 PM)
why not hotlink? RM60 for 8GB/30days, unlimited call to all network.
*
Can consider too, haven't really looked around as i've only recently came back from overseas icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(blazeboy_milan @ Feb 2 2018, 02:28 PM)
I use very limited UMobile P78 Plan (don't confuse with latest P79 plan as of today)

-Unlimited quota (Upto i think 1000GB, that's yuuuuge enough for me)
-10GB Tethering (can ehem *bypass* ehem)
-Limited speed upto 5mbps (decent enuff as i'm not heavy user)
-Unlimited call (1 hr per session, call cut off once reach 1hr, can repeat as many session you need)
-Unlimited sms (not sure is there any actual limits)

So far my bills rarely exceed RM90. Good enuff for me.

Coverage i can say so-so, depends on locations, kampung sure die in most case. Town good coverage but not the speed as so many people hogging the limited bandwidth. at 4-12pm speed super haram jadah. can use light app only like whatsapp.

But overall its still ok ler.. i never had quota rage like before. but now got speed rage pula.. adeh..

so should i port into this yoodo sim? is there any better?
*
I have had very bad experiences with umobile recently that's why decided to port out.

QUOTE(Chrono-Trigger @ Feb 2 2018, 03:26 PM)
Does this MNVO support MNP , both in and out?
*
MNP in yes, just ported mine. I guess by right you should be able to port in and out.

i found only here talk about yoodo so wanna tumpang post ask register number matters.

i ady get my simcard, using yoodo app to input those 10+ serial number, choose my number, scan my id or fill my info and last want to snap my own photo... i m stuck at here! that app doesnt got a snapping button to let me click. i very sure im fit in the border but stil cant auto capture my photo. no matter i stand still (thought app waiting me to prevent blur photo) or goto outside find bright clear space to snap but same result.

any1 got experience to solve this prob? my hp 5 mega pixel front camera so i think its clear enuf to capture... tq!
*
Haven't gotten my SIM yet because of the chain of public holidays.. bangwall.gif

so this one the coverage is like celcom?

coz I need a simcard for standby calling at home.

i choose the lowest min/package. should alright right?
*
I think if it's just for standby you're better off with Unifi Mobile, no expiry as long as you use it for a chargeable service once every 90 days.

Yoodo still charges you every 30 days and no bringing forward your unused quota

sifus sifus here
Can i make a facetime call or video call using yoodo internet?
*
Yup, no problem.
However, the registration is the annoying part. To register for Facetime/iMessage (i.e. authenticate your phone number with Apple), you will have to send an SMS to US to activate Facetime for this number.
However, you cannot send SMS overseas on Yoodo unless you purchase a Zone A SMS pack (100 sms) for RM5. So make sure you have that purchased before trying to activaet your number or else it won't work.

All the best

Is the internet reliable and fast?
*
It uses Celcom's existing network. So far absolutely happy with the network around PJ/KL area (compared to UMobile).

QUOTE(teen08 @ Mar 13 2018, 05:16 PM)
How about roaming. I don’t see anything in the app. (iOS)
*
You have to buy roaming pack within the app. After you've activated your SIM + plan, there will be a +Add Roaming/IDD below Your Usage area on the main screen.

Here are some screenshots:

Yoodo can receive TAG overseas?
How to port over from Maxis?
*
If I remember correctly you can receive TAC smses overseas. Better check with the live chat to be 100% sure though.

When you register for a new sim card on the App, choose the port over and enter your phone number. This will start your porting process, and maxis will contact you to confirm that you wish to port over.

They have call Roam Like Home (RLH), limited countries but SG is in the list btw. Minimum denomination is RM10 to be use for data/voice/sms and each purchase is valid to only 24hrs. Not sure how it works as I never used it before.
*
Be aware that your APN needs to be changed to "yoodo" when using roam like home, otherwise your data won't work at all.
In Malaysia your APN should be celcom3g.

Didn't know this info until i was actually travelling and required the data, ended up couldn't use it. CS refunded me when i complained that this info was not previously known biggrin.gif

I see, apart from roaming what we can gain from using APN yoodo or celcom3g locally? I am using yoodo as what they told us to do. Frankly I don't see any different from these 2 APNs.
*
don't think theres a difference locally.
Mine was set to celcom3g automatically when i put in the SIM so i left it at that.

"Error Oops! An error occured

i tried with few different cards from different banks. same error.

not sure as i have never experienced this before, what phone are you using?
It is better to contact Yoodo directly through their live chat which from my experience are very helpful

Hi Sifus,

Should i just buy RM5 calls or get sim to delivery to me?
Did delivery charges?
What is the delivery option? Pos bersetem/Biasa?

After got sim and activate, how long I can using the 20GB data, within 1 month or as long as possible?
*
You can get the sim delivered to you before you choose a package too if i'm not mistaken.
You can have it delivered to your house normally, it'll be through poslaju.

Otherwise you can use the goget service.

The 20GB data should be one cycle (one month).

Just ran a speedtest of different APN between Celcom and MNVO riding on same network, seem like Tunetalk is most uncapped while Yoodo is slowest.

Most balanced is default celcom3g

Tested with same phone, same server at same location.

hmm. did you do this over a few test and average it? Not sure if APN really affects it..

I am on yoodo APN getting 26 down.
