Previously said, only required to be divested.

Now say its required to be terminated.

Really lidah bercabang.

"As part of the CelcomDigi merger undertaking committed to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the Yoodo brand is required to be discontinued within 18 months of the merger."

urrghhhh....previously asked retailer:- XOX only allow 5 numbers, regardless postpaid or prepaid.
already have 3 numbers in XOX, so don't think it will allow to carry in 4 numbers from Yoodo.

hey,

all celcom maxis digi prepaids are still operating on there following mechanism, correct?

1) top-up to extend lifetime
2) ... then already can make outgoing calls/sms/data on PAYU basis
3) (optional) buy passes for better "rate" than PAYU

1. yes , and in celcomdigi buy monthly plan will also extend for up to a month

2. PAYU for calls, sms/mms only. modern prepaid plans have basic slow internet rather than old school payu data

3. yes, high speed or unlimited data and maybe unlimited calls in higher (25+) pass
*
naaaah, i'm not aiming for usage, however small.

my holdings in yoodo are numbers with many consecutive '0' digits.
so i'll be looking at options that, eventhough i'll forced to spend more, it will also not be spent in vain on bundlings that i have no use for.

Brand to be discontinued. Most likely product line will be absorbed by Celcom prepaid. They probably need time (one month) for rebranding exercise.
*
the condition back then is, (i) CelcomDigi must fully cut loose Yoodo, and, (ii) failing that(?), CelcomDigi cannot by-default absorb Yoodo users.

You can top up 1 shoot RM 100 to earn around 4 months validity (110 days)
and later after that then buy the 365 validity
all have to do manually, more hassle
*
you mean, buy 365 immediately after reload RM100? or, buy at the end of the 110days earned?

Why the hurry to port out? Why not see what will be offered later on 17th June? The line will still continue to run even after end of August. If no action taken, I'm sure it will be absorb into celcomDigi
*
Part of the condition was CelcomDigi cannot absorb Yoodo users "by default", and upon failure to sell off Yoodo to become unrelated party, it must be closed down.
So, action will be necessary on users' part because there is no "by default" after August.

from the email, hold the link (or right click) and open the link in browser.
this is the correct way.
opening the link in phone, u will have to find a way to open the link in browser

just temporarily uninstall the yoodo app, so that there is no app handler for it whistling.gif

be careful with "gray" vendors.

if caught employing their service, your line might get terminated.
can check xox thread for mentions.

what does it mean cannot "customised validity extension"?

no more RM3/50sms option on that date? have to pump in RM30+ just to keep alive in the meantime for MNP?

--

oh, got it.

those who spend RM30 can extend their validity.

Yoodo should lead with this, not just some corporate type of reply that is confusing and not answering their customer's questions.

Right from the start, the telco has been saying that only the "Brand" will be discontinued and service will remain. Many sceptics and even prominent news portals like soyacincau made big hoohah by saying Yoodo will cease operations  console.gif

because the condition for celcomdigi to merge is they must spin off yoodo to become unrelated party, cannot simply absorb pre-existing subscribers into celcomdigi.

now turned out it's simply absorbing into celcomdigi.

either regulator tidur, or regulator didn't think properly when they gave that condition before, or celcomdigi managed to coax regulator to bend down on this condition.

all the assurance i got from Yoodo's FAQ is the service continuity under CelcomDigi. There is no unambiguous statement of verbatim commitment to retain exact price and plan.

I think maybe after 60 or 70% merger complete. Also it's paining for 2 seperate brands by one CEO. More like monopoly why not they merged just changed whole carrier name to CelcomDigi instead of Digi / Celcom when you sign new plan or device it's redirect to Digi store also
*
work in progress.
even tower is not yet fully 1 entity.
you either continously get Celcom signal or Digi signal.

i stopped by Aeon Kinta City, no more Celcom outlet, but there is CelcomDigi (previously Digi outlet).
I thought when i signed up for CelcomDigi postpaid, it does not matter which former it was. But no, apparently since I signed up through former Digi outlet, i need to manage my CelcomDigi postpaid via MyDigi app.

I had a similar experience. It seems that the physical Maxis Center staff received incorrect information. When I visited a Maxis Center to port in as a Hotlink Prepaid customer, the staff informed me that I couldn’t directly port in to Hotlink Prepaid. Instead, they said I needed to port in to Maxis/Hotlink Postpaid for six months dulu, then convert to Prepaid. They are confident for their answer and even I repeat and clarify. They are very confident on the answer given. Then I clarify with Maxis Social Media team, the response I got; I just lazy to argue…

user posted image

I then went to Celcom Blue Cube. Answer that I received was, postpaid users cannot port in to CelcomDigi Prepaid. However, if you are a prepaid customer from another telco, you can port in to Prepaid. In short, the policy is Postpaid to Postpaid and Prepaid to Prepaid. Only solution is for postpaid user, port-in as CelcomDigi postpaid, then convert to Prepaid after 1 month.

Lazy to argue, I just do port-in to Hotlink prepaid via online.

celcom was always like that one. and now appear to be still the same.

all other telcos allowed internal change between postpaid and prepaid, only celcom system can't do so without porting in-between.

For their CelcomDigi postpaid are they on Celcom’s frequency band or DiGi?
*
right now still split.

I signed up CelcomDigi rateplan through Digi-turned-CelcomDigi outlet, and network name is still Digi in the phone.

double check the validity.
and also check from time to time, in case and since XOX changed TnC about requiring RM30 reload every few months.

Congrats to those are still on Yoodo, like me. We are now limited edition. I think very soon we will see the app become celcomdigi, and the carrier name will also change to c/d.

But if no RM5 discount.. and its RM25 for 20gb & 100mins.. Hotlink Pantas is a better deal for RM25....will see what happens.. maybe that's what I'll do
*
might as well go XOX Black RM10. 3GB can carry forward indefinite up to 100GB. And every month got 20min talktime can carry forward indefinite.
