Hi, im trying to port out from Yoodo to Hotlink Pantas. However, hotlink website doesnt have Yoodo in the list. So do I choose Celcom instead? I tried that actually, and never received any email of porting out from Yoodo :/
*
Go to Maxis center or resellers. Porting out from MVNO pain in the ass

Finally decided to chat with Yoodo yesterday and VOLTE was working within hours.

I even listed all my phones for him to select. Strangely he told me Realme GT Neo 3 was not supported and told me to insert the sim into Realme 6. After I get VOLTE, I popped the sim into Realme GT Neo 3 and viola, VOLTE is working too.

what does it mean? even my phone supports VoLTE, i also must call yoodo to 'activate' it for my simcard?
*
I assume so... I had this number for over a year and I have used it with my S9+, Realme 6 which was both supported phone in Yoodo list according to the CS. However I had never once had VOLTE.

Anyone has any problems with their line using iphone 13 mini? Have this problem recently everytime people call me, it directed to voicemail sayinig 'The number you have dial is not in service' or 'Sorry, please dial 013 or 019 follow by the tel no'. Going crazy with this issue. Contacted yoodo, told me to restart, turn on and off volte still the same.
*
Surprised to know this issue is kinda widespread. My bro bought an iphone (cant remember which series) for his wife, but he's using DiGi and experience totally the same thing you encountered. Cant dial out, can't receive call... also advised to turn off VOLTE but problem still on off... no solution

How is yoodo nowdays? I am going to jump back here later this month. When I MNP, Can I order a sim now and activate later?
*
Ported out of Yoodo 2 years ago... I left a sim there paying RM3 every 60days. Loaded data last month to try my new phone and surprised that Yoodo is getting better now. When I ported out back then, line was getting slower, always server problem which left you with no connectivity. First few months with Hotlink Pantas is quite good but lately macam got problem. I had to launch app twice in order to get it to receive data. Weird... tried other phone also same problem. Getting fed up.

I left yoodo last time because they ended the 20gb promotion. Now decided to try again. Hotlink got any bundle calls? cause seems only focus on internet.
*
Nope... I also port to Hotlink because no choice when gov suddenly ended 3G. Celcom has the best 3G but it's gone and call quality is really terrible. I felt like going back to Nokia days and almost smashed my phone a couple of times. The speech just broke up here and there. I only used it to receive calls from customers but it would be great if Hotlink has call packages. Nowadays I think I used whatsapp call more because it was consistently delivering good call quality. I used to hate it so much.

The answer is YES.
It only deduct youtube quota without affecting your data.  And if you turn your phone into mobile hotspot, any other devices that connect to your phone whether pc, smart tv, another mobile phones for watching youtube, all these devices will only utilize youtube quota only. Wont affect your data (unless you run out of youtube quota).

My parent's house got no internet. So, when balik kampung, I connect smart tv to my phone (yoodo sim) to watch youtube all day long on tv.. and the data barely move.. I mean, for morning till evening, my youtube quota only reduce by between 1 to 3GB only...

Same thing for netflix. If i want to watch netflix on smart tv when balik kampung, I  also purchase netflix..

And I also connect my car android player to my phone to watch netflix/youtube..

It doesnt disturb my data quota..
*
I think you are wrong. In order to utilise the Youtube quota, you need to use the youtube app. What he asked was if he was using a PC which indicate he would be using a browser which would not utilise the youtube quota at all. Another case is when you are using VPN, it also would not utilise the youtube quota.

for call plan i use XOX
28 months validity and i paid season pass RM90 for 999 minutes
so if the minutes finished before the 28 months validity i just buy again
quite a steal for this plan. the 28months is the real MVP here
*
XOX no longer best for calls... they wont enable volte, really lousy call quality. Always heard echo like 2000s. I already terminated my XOX number and reuse my old Yoodo number for calls. At bit expensive at RM5 per month but at least great call quality with volte.

No, he doesn't want supp lines. He wants to convert his maxis supp lines to principles at Yoodo
*
Step by step bro... you can only transfer principal lines from other telco to Yoodo... hence when you wanna transfer every family lines from Maxis, it needs to be converted into principal lines before transfer can be successful.

By then other MVNOs or telcos will offer special plans for yoodo’s users to port over for sure.

Yoodo is the best so far for prepaid plans.
*
Not really. If 5G is strong in your area, then YES is cheaper. RM25 monthly (use auto debit), unlimited 5G, unlimited calls. Enjoy while it last. I just sub yoodo RM5 call every 59days and just use YES. Only pay RM30 monthly for unlimited data.

since 5g coverage is same for all telco

better choose between uni5g postpaid 89 unlimited data (no fup yet) rm94.34 or umobile postpaid 98 1000gb data rm103.88

yoodo cost is similar rm98 + rm5 but only 200gb data
*
YES is cheaper if you compare like that. RM25 unlimited calls and data.

Wonder if anyone experiencing the same thing? Yoodo keep dropping line in kota damansara area and show no service. Wonder it’s my phone problem or network problem?
*
Wow... I thought I'm the only one. Went to Publika and my line went dead. Luckily I had a hotlink line with me. I was awaiting to see how the CelcomDigi network integration works and if it would mean better coverage for all. However all Im getting is slower speed and line drop recently.

imho, most ppl uses Yoodo as secondary line
*
It is not even worth as secondary line... its more worthy to use as primary line. XOX prepaid and Pantas is a much better alternative as 2nd line.

Averagely how much per mth on these 2 that you mentioned?
*
Average? Last time I park a few numbers in XOX prepaid by MNP. Just need to buy sim for RM10 + RM50 welcome pack season pass (now they change some of the passes liao, so not sure), free validity for 28months. No need reloads for 2 years++. After that, can buy validity for RM25/year. Those minutes and data will remain until you activate/use them.

Hotlink Pantas depends on your luck. After buy sim, just reload RM10 for 30 days validity. Then if you dont use at all, just leave it and top up 3 months in a row. Balance RM30 credit at the end of 3rd month can be used to buy 1 year validity. So you get total 15months for RM30 (plus whatever the sim card cost). If you are lucky, sometimes they have bonus for reload (it can vary from RM3/5/10 for RM30 reload). Then you can reload, get bonus to buy 1/2/5GB data which are valid for 365days with some leftover for calls (30cents per minute).

my usage is different
imusing xox with 3years validity with 999 minutes call
and monthly using yoodo for 20gb data
both use as eSIM

so life is quite easy now. cheap alternatives for data usage
and for calls, as long as i have minutes can call with such long validity
*
XOX and Yoodo also under Celcom...

I would rather XOX with 500mb data every month as backup, then Hotlink Pantas RM25 for 15gb + calls. Best of both world.

Using both MVNO is just too risky... Last time I was using both XOX and TT... down at the same time.
