Used yoodo for 1 month, seams, the yoodo data block charges is a bit high by per session. last time use digi only 60gb. but using yoodo, 100gb(not even reach 1 month).
*
Side note. Im using yoodo as a hotspot for my home. 5 ppl using. All with normal usage. But last time i saw someone mention on charge data block per session is depend on telco. Some per session count is 1mb. Some count as 10kb, per session means u open fb for a while. Then u close after scroll and stop.

If suddenly my usage suddenly hike due to internet so blazing speed compare to digi. Or high usage, i didnt know. But i will try again rnd for next month for it. Or might be need to clarify with yoodo regarding the data block per session.

But for hotspot might be not good, but for the phone usage. I think its okay.

You so sure your monthly usage is same? I cannot proof yoodo is consuming more data but using yoodo do feels data finish faster compared to digi. Anyway i watch a lot of youtube therefore can easily be solved by buying the 20 GB youtube addon.

Solid proof pls...
NOT ur feeling...

My perception about Yoodo after 1 month use:

Coverage is no different from TuneTalk (of course), off-peak network performance about the same as TT, but Yoodo is more congested 7-10pm than TT in my area. Both Yoodo and TT are slower than Digi network most of the time probably because Celcom network quality here is poorer than Digi's.

I also feel Yoodo's data quota goes down faster than others' but we can't measure it scientifically (who the heck is going to ensure EXACT SAME usage to compare 2 networks).

You are lucky tongue.gif According to Yoodo support, if you don’t select data then you won’t get data. Basic Internet is for users whose Data quota has finished only.

https://support.yoodo.com.my/hc/en-us/commu...-Basic-internet
What to check? Tried using both yoodo and celcom APN also can't get basic data. There is 4G or even 4G+ when switch on data but not usable at all.

Based on reply given in yoodo support, if we buy data inside booster after finish there will still be basic data to use.

Question is after that month cycle, if we don't buy data booster in the following cycle will we still have basic data to use?

Maybe you can try it first and let us know.

Been using yoodo for 1 month now. Really satisfied thus far. Speed and coverage is good enough for me. Though I'd like for 4g speed at underground level; I realize yoodo's speed is not 4g whenever I'm in a underground train

I'm in Pulau Tikus, Penang and some indoor places are H+ only. I'm surprised Celcom coverage is so poor in an urban area; their H+ is weaker than Digi's 4G.

I am now in grace period. Yoodo on my phone is still on 4G but I cannot go to normal websites but I can go into the Yoodo app and use it. My Yoodo number is a new number by the way, not an MNP.

Grace period as in you are not subscribers to anything ? Not even the RM3 SMS package ? How long does Yoodo grace period last ?

I stayed nearby P.Tikus and almost all time in 4G...
Actually it's celcom style, if you in grace periods or not subscribe any data plan, you will get 3G only, even you using their MNVO tunetalk, xox, yoodo...

Just need refer 1 new users and get free RM20 credit or 20GB, apa susah...

If any subscription is in place, it wouldn't be grace period, would it?
Yoodo does tell you in the app how many days before line termination. (60 days FYI)

I wasn't in grace period when I wrote that in the afternoon in Pulau Tikus. Right now I'm back home in grace period and I can get 4G on Yoodo.

I see. So it’s actually possible not to subscribe to anything. Was thinking of getting a Yoodo number so I can subscribe for data on ad-hoc basis. But thought I need to subscribe to something such as the RM3 SMS package at least every month during the month i don’t subscribe to data. So I have not ordered a number from Yoodo till now. Thanks for the info.

So I just change everything in the app from let say RM3 SMS package to RM0 before next renewal from within the app will do ?

Just switch off plan renewal under 'Your Plan' but no way to remove the card details in payment method although auto renewal is switched off.

@MilesAndMore Initially, to activate a Yoodo account, you have to have a monthly plan (minimum at the moment is the 50 SMS @ RM3), but subsequently you can choose to not auto-renew that plan and hence go into grace period, so long as you don't exceed 60 days without a plan.
