Hi everyone !
I recently heard someone trying to 'cut on chicken' because it's 'filled with antibiotics and stuff'.
Which fruits/vegetables are the safest to eat ? The least safe ? Meat ? Fish ? Should i wash rice bought from supermarkets ? Any other guidelines ?
I'd love a review of the potential health risk associated with eating certain food in Malaysia i wondered if anyone did the work and compared Malaysian regulations with those around the world, noting the difference in banned additives/pesticides/whatever chemicals used to grow/prepare different food ?
Thanks !

in terms of food safety it's best to leave it to the hands of the authorities because there's no way we can determine such things.

QUOTE(Frode @ Feb 4 2018, 08:05 PM) I had also heard a lot about things like that really happening there. But, actually many foods are already relatively toxic, especially if it's unnatural food. True, most food is contaminated. That's why you hear people dying from cancer. The nowadays it is the young people who are suffering too. If you check with FDA website, they banned most food from Japan due to radiation leak too.

QUOTE(funniman @ Feb 5 2018, 09:01 AM) True, most food is contaminated. That's why you hear people dying from cancer. The nowadays it is the young people who are suffering too. If you check with FDA website, they banned most food from Japan due to radiation leak too. That's what many people are suggesting. Also, male's fertility is going down in developed countries without any clear culprit. Some say endocrine disruptors kind of chemicals might be the culprit (which are used to grow most crops). https://www.theguardian.com/science/2017/ju...m-counts-halvedBig problem is that information about that problem are scarce as safety studies cost money and take time, and food lobbies are fat ass rich, means no one wants to risk being their enemy.
