I have Mibox, Chromecast and Fire Stick. They have their pros and cons.

Mibox. Chinese program. But user experience is poor. Not smooth.

Chromecast. Good user experience in sense you use phone to control. But no remote to do incremental fast forward. Can not install VPN.

Fire Stick. Almost as good user experience. Can also cast from phone (slightly not as good). Have remote to fast forward and back. But Alexa can't understand Mandarin. Can install VPN apps.

My preference is Fire Stick because of simplicity and control and smoothness

I have read reviews and I think Fire Stick's remote is better. Being the impatience type, I like to fast forward and backward when I watch stuff.

Main downside is, no Mandarin support.

Vastly different user experience. Chromecast is like driving a automatic transmission car and super easy to use. Mibox is like driving a manual transmission whereby you must know when to swift gear and how to press the clutch etc.

Having said that, Mibox is more versatile whereby you can install apps but not Chromecast. I am the lazy type so I uses Chromecast all the time and only rarely use the Mibox.

come to think about it, mine probably the China version. But I seldom use it so didn't really bother because I prefer the ease-of-use of the Fire Stick. Particularly the fast forward button.
