Becos there is the shield pro with 500gb internal storage for that purpose... they gotta sell this model too!
So, u just get what is available in internal storage... 10, 11gb.
It is a drawback i wont like too.
If u need more comments quasar, can discuss further at kodi or specific box thread.

Lastly... my bad... ignore this tddownload folder i mentioned... it is just an existing folder i used, nothing to do with quasar.
If u set the path to even the root drive, the video folder will appear at root level.
If u DL subs, it will appear as a new subtitles folder.

Yup sound pass thru should be fix, a lot user need it even though no need for me as I use TV speaker. Haha!

Apple tv is good for streaming apps like netflix hulu etc.  as res/colourspace/frame rate switch works well for them (not 100% sure if atmos works with netflix or not, as only pcm works for mrmc)

Hence why i said we need amlogic libreelec for others as in kodi as yes, apple tv isn't a good choice for local playback

So two devices are needed for max media consumption satisfaction...

For now i will stick with shield 2015 and 1080p ecosystem till hdmi 2.1 chain of devices are available

u can play the games, but still got noticeble lags.
since all the servers is in US. latency around 100-300ms
im playing on unifi 50mbps.

U connect to Ethernet or wifi? If wifi, is it N or AC?

Tested out FortNite yesterday. Getting 240ms and recommended setting is 720p due to the delay compensation. Gg Wei haha. Playable game but 720p burns my eyes and occasional graphical defects due to poor streaming from US server.

Read that there's a Asian Pasific server before but it was removed in March to be relocated elsewhere. Need to wait for it to be available again before we could enjoy it.

Overall, it was pretty fun yesterday playing FortNite for the first time. I'm used to PubG but playing a shooter using a controller is really new. Can't wait for the Asian Pasific server to come. Guess when that happens it should be playable smooth at 1080p. For casual gaming, Shield is really a beast.

Yeah. Even FortNite shows partial support for controller. Have u tried hooking up keyboard and mouse?

Hopefully when they launch out of beta, the price for GFN won't be skyhigh. And need AP server as well. Saw a lot of complaints on their forums bout it.

So far no issue. What about your network connection? Better use Ethernet.

Any external hard disk attached? If u used external as internal, you may try to move the app to in and out with diff drive to test. Also enable some sort of "weak connection" app function under Ethernet settings to test out.
