for my tv, i failed to get 8.1.93 to work, from wherever.
the good news is there is one version i got it to work - 8.0.4.2.
try this version, see if it works.

do ask astrogo questions at the mibox thread as that thread is very active.

ok, i am not using androidtv on shield but on an androidtv tv.

astrogo 8.0.4.2 was the only version that worked on my tv for a long time; other/later versions do not work.

today (or yesterday), 8.0.4.2 also stopped working, likely got phased out by astro support.

the good news is i was able to install the latest 8.1.98 and got it to work.

app is not in playstore; also can't get it to work using normal sideload.

what i did:

install a browser (i use brave), but think chrome or other browser will work too.

search for astrogo apk, find in apkpure or other.

download, open, log in, all good.

i hope that works for shield' androidtv as well.

guys, im thinking to buy this nvidia shield 2017.
right now im still using normal samsung LCD tv 1080p.

currently im using minix u9-h.
- good for video player since im using DS video( synology NAS) + mx player
- able to play Astro on-the-go, unifi TV
- sometimes use chrome for browsing

is nvidia shield can do all those as mentioned? also, since this shield dont hv physical keyboard ( my minix got air mouse with keyboard), u guys will using the D-pad remote to enter the input ? by selecting character on the display ?

currently there is no official unifitv app for android tv, so had to use the tablet version..
yes, u need to use mouse to navigate..
if u dont have mouse or air mouse remote then u can use official Shield TV app on ur mobile and use the virtual mouse support to navigate..

Why not get 3rd party bluetooth air mouse remote?
Btw, what happen to your remote?

Try this if u haven't, go to setting>security and disable 'Bluetooth LE Privacy'

If u have usb devices connected to shield then go to settings>system>usb mode and change it to 'compatibility'
