Yes.. nod.gif

Btw, buyer may need to apply sirim permit(rm100) not Amazon. Only when required by custom..
*
Ahh Sirim, quite a troublesome process. Did it before when I bought Bluetooth headphones from a amazon UK as well.
But noticed they haven’t sold the $139 bundle yet.

Our local maybank mbb amex is eligible for that offer?
Yeah, it's the latest one yet
*
Yes, I already signed up with mine.

What I meant was I don't have maybank account, therefore can I still register for mbb amex card from maybank?
*
you can, but i'd recommend to create a savings account to prevent future hassle.

True, as already an owner of Minix UH-9, is there any reason to get the NSTV? I only like their slick interface, but other than that... I won't be using it for games.

i hv both devices.
now i only using nvidia shield because i can play lots of free games.  biggrin.gif . not boring as ps4
pro
- can play lots of games( gamestream + geforce now= games streaming), local android games
- slick interface
- streaming experience also seem nice
- now running on android oreo, hate the new interface btw, prefer old leanback interface

cons
- dont hv keyboard like minix air mouse
- astro go apps  didnt work( sideload), not sure why, later need to check as i also seldom watch
- iflix also didnt detect that im on unifi, so i should get free susbcription. ( iflix is native android TV apps)
- chrome also didnt hv on google play store, need to sideload, hard to use with remote or controller, so i plug in wireless mouse for now. thinking to plug in wireless keyboard also, easier to type.
- NSTV quite expensive, double the price of the minix u9-h, but i think for its services , codec, DRM etcs and premium with the game controller, i think it justified.
so, if u didnt use it for games, better just stick with minix U9-h
*
The dilemma is the NSTV now cost the same as the Minix lol
Can you use the Minix airmouse with the NSTV?
But yea, won't be using it for games for sure.

$149 now. But I prefer bundle with controller.

BTW, anyone interested in Optoma HD29Darbee projector? It's $519.00 now.  biggrin.gif

Ohh you're right, but out of stock. Should be ok if you don't mind waiting, but I think i'll pass since I already have the Minix and it isn't that big of a deal now...

Nice, mine still not yet shipped.

That's i hate about Amazon, after all that handling fees, import tax, prime account, they'll come up with confusing statement like 2 days shipping when you thought it will be delivered in 2 days but no instead they need another 10 days even that for US address. I understand USA is big but still.

i wonder how long it will take for international shipment.
*
My experience with Amazon shipping is that they are usually really fast unless they have shortage of stock.

Regret liao. next time using direct shipping cheaper.

Anyway i still got few more things i bought from ebay waiting to arrive at ezipoz, so can consolidate together then only ship to malaysia. I hope it will be cheaper in the end.
*
Already did mention that Amazon Prime shipping is much cheaper and faster compared to 3rd parties sweat.gif

Prime shipment applicable to oversea shipping?
*
As long as the item can be delivered to Malaysia then yes. I did try with Nvidia Shield during the Prime sales, and the cost was only around $20 inclusive of custom tax.
Delivery is also less than a week. Add another $1-2 and you can get it within a few days as well.

Amazon usually far more expensive to ship direct if they charge tax. Else, should be cheaper than 3rd party. For bulking, 3rd party better overall
*
Depends on which shipping company the forwarder uses, DHL & Fedex 99% of the time you can't escape tax unless you under declare. But overall i still prefer Amazon direct shipping as their shipping price + speed is the best overall so far.

Anyone owns the latest Shield TV/Pro 2019?

Any thoughts on the device? My main purpose is for Netflix Atmos support & local blu-ray downloaded files (MKV/BDMV) around 30-80gb size.

Currently have Minix Neo U9-H & UBP X-700, both does not have Netflix Atmos support.
And playing local content via External HDD would occasionally gets the movie hang or even stutter.
Not sure if this is due to both device processor being unable to handle playback for big file size...

How are your experience with Netflix Atmos & Local playback content via external HDD? Any hang/stutter issues? BDMV any issue?

Not bad bro. It wasn't much cheaper when I brought one unit back from the US also in 2018. USD150 after tax.
*
USD150 for the Pro? That is damn cheap dude, plus shipping, tax & Sirim.

Not the pro. Brought it physically back with me minus box when I flew back from my business trip. It came with the shield gamepad and remote.
*
Ahh ok, the 2019 model they really skimp out on the pro with the controller. Would have gone with the non pro if they at least had 1 USB port.

QUOTE(fentanyl @ Jul 11 2020, 07:45 PM)
Previous owner of Minix Neo U9-H. Yup disappointing it couldn't handle 4K movies very well. Switched to Shield 2017, problem solved. Not sure about Netflix Atmos though.
*
Ahh so I’m not the only one with playback issues with the Minix... I had no issues playing the new Shield with Netflix Atmos and also 4K Atmos through USB 😆
So much happier with this... not to mention smooth UI, not like that laggy crap Minix

Yeah the form factor changed for the 2019 model. Mine is the previous model with USB ports but no sdcard slot.
*
Much more useful than a silly sdcard slot...
Btw do you know which file explorer is the most stable/safe for the Shield?

I use solid file explorer. Rarely use it though since I don't browse the filesystem for media.

My main usage is Netflix, YouTube and Plex (I have a separate Plex media server PC that has access to my local files).
*
Thanks, do you use Astro app as well? Is the app still buggy? I'm getting sound but no picture.
