same here, I believe it happened only after the oreo update. from what I read a factory reset may fix this

I cant control the volume by swiping up and down the remote anymore. What happen?

hi, anyone here use nvidia shield for us iptv? i saw a forumer here used it for directv, how does it work? connect to a vpn? coz i thought the iptv is ip locked

youtube has step by step.
i did mine the old way, dl the file in the phone and es explorer it to the shield.
its basically a sideload which you can now do off your shield browser or chrome

Hi

Need help on Playtv@unifi installation/login to NSTV. I try install both type Playtv(phone) and Playtv(tablet) on NSTV. On tablet it come out with black screen with unifi logo and never ending process. Then i tried phone type manage to get to login page but cant login thru. I call 100 anso do live chat they told me Playtv not compatible with android tv. I already read thru this room some ppl manage to use playtv with NSTV. What could have gone wrong? Setting? Some say have to fully unroot, i bought this new not root i believed.

Using: NSTV 2017 16GB

playtv works on androidtv.

check these if u haven't:

.. make sure u hv n use the correct id n pw - unique strings, not your wifi ones, call and get from unifi.

.. depending on device, may not work with ethernet, works only with WIFI.

Already tried on my phone, works ok. Now wanna install on NSTV but it cant. sad.gif also already tried using both ethenet then wifi.both also cant.

Additional info
Nvidia Shield TV version 8, android SW 7.1.0

Android 7.1 is Naugat right? I saw somebody say can update ro Oreo 8. I tried to update it say you already have latest. Plus i check in nvdia page it say in release note 7.1 is the latest. How to get Oreo?

NSTV SW7.1.0 as u stated. U already in Oreo latest firmware.

if it works on yr phone but not NSTV, it says something... likely the box firmware restricting it.

i am not using NSTV but a sharp tv that runs on androidtv.

unifi platv works well on androidtv for android 5, 6, 7 and 8, at least on my devices; the same for astrogo.

and if applicable, try astrogo too.

one tot... a package installer may be required... so, u should have a browser (chrome or some other) already installed.

hope to hear to your results.

im on orea same as u,

side load the unifi tv apps apk
can watch already but the menu is in potrait mode. so need to install screen rotations apps to make it landscape.
working fine on my NSTV

Dont missed up.... NSTV firmware 7.1.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo.

sad.gif still cannot play playtv. Tried both tablet and phone apps. Using 7.8.19 also cannot. Does activating developer option got anything to do with playtv? Any other setting i should do?

nope, did not enable any developer settings..
can the app run and ask for login details?

nope, no issue on mine .
did u try the solution for ur Sharp TV? if u have es explore, try uninstall it..

If using tablet ver only the black page showing @unifi came out and loading forever.if using phone ver,yes up to login page but cant login tru.It will loading. I try the same login detail at my hp its ok can login.if say i have put wrong login detail there will pop up say its wrong. Just now i factory reset my NSTV try from start...also cannot sad.gif

are both HP and ur NSTV on same network?
how many device have u used to login unifi tv with same login details?
where did u dload the apk from?
