well, one more reason is this is a forum, a place to sharing and changing informations/experiences, discussion and gaining knowledge..

its not built specially to trading..like lelong and ebay..

thats why there are no implementation for things such as mentioned above..

Anyone who's suggested this hasn't thought anywhere further than just the basic idea

Explain to me how the mods will be able to verify someone's IC?
If i take my friend's IC and claim to be him, how would u be able to know that the person in the IC is not me when no one in the forum has ever seen me?
And LYN does not have access to government records or anything, i could photoshop a random person's pic and make up the details and no one would be able to know that they're fake

Suggestions are good, but think of them yourself before voicing them out

i dont think this is a good idea. this will open up the seller's privacy. There's other alternative way beside showing ic ( but ic oso can be fake la.. )

we prefer is like ebay system. full secure. learn from ebay perhaps biggrin.gif just my 2 cents.

You forget this is first and foremost still a forum about Malaysian lifestyle with a eye on technology.

The admins/mods are doing most of the jobs on volunteer basis, I doubt they are and should bear any responsibility to ANYTHING that happens in trade. They don't need to enforce anything upon us.

Most of the fraud cases comes from our own lapse of judgment, how many times have we seen people banking in money mindlessly because of a deal that was too good to be true?

I think they already done really well with the implementation of trader tags and trade education forum, the only problem we have is the lack of people reading and practicing it until problem happens.

Learn to trade safe yourself, don't hope for others to feed it to you.

Most common attitude in human is GREED. Fraud and scams usually happens when the human itself are too greed and fall into the trap of the conmen when he/she attracted with the cheap price that conmen offer. Yup, people should do more research and survey before dealing with online trading. If everyone should do so, there wouldn't have scam cases..

Yupp, just like buying from shops there's no real guarantee that u will get what u paid for
How many times have u heard ppl complaining that they came home from a shop just to find out the item they bought wasn't as described, faulty, misinformed or even a used unit?
While they wont give u an empty box after you've paid, it's still basically a con
Just that it's so much easier to fool someone online, that's why u see a lot more of these going on

Yeap, online trading is all about trustworthy. If can't trust the buyer/seller. Don't buy/sell. If involving huge amount of cash flows, it is adviceable to COD instead of using courier service as part of the deal.
GREED is part of everyone therefore the conmen usually attacks this weakness inside us.

Trade = One is willing to pay/buy from Some One who he/she trust for services/goods.

Seller & buyer are resposible To build the TRUST信任 icon_rolleyes.gif between them.

"All user should validate their identity" is one of the way thumbup.gif but no the only way. hmm.gif

Although I dont mind to show my I/C, I afraid once one look at the IC one will fall in love with me drool.gif .( Just Joking sweat.gif , LOL )

In reality either online or offline, There will always be CONMAN mad.gif vmad.gif .
Trust me if u read news from Newpaper, Online, TV & radio

Most of the people are greedy, just dont Let Your GREED get control over u. nod.gif

So i cannot COD totally unless U guy stay in MIRI ( With AirAsia, I still cannot Fly doh.gif so do u). My ONLY COD is with biatche & intune.

So i take this opportunity to thx those who had trust me & willing to TRADE with me.

And Wish that all conman r willing to be back to settle thier case & be less of them in LYF.

I do not mind to share my detail if u r willing to read nod.gif
