I'm currently using an iphone 5s. It has been serving me for 4 years already. I guess its time to upgrade because the phone is really slow. Iphones nowadays are really too expensive already. I'm looking for a phone with at least 5.5 inches screen. The 2 choices I'm looking at are the iphone 7 plus and the xiaomi redmi 5 plus. Their prices are really far. Can /k advise?

Things i look at:
1. Good battery life
2. Acceptable camera
3. At least 5.5 inch screen

Think no further, just get an iPhone.

Battery endurance for Mi A1 excellent what. Redmi 5 plus had 4000mAH, sure can last longer than iPhone 5s.

If compare to 5s of course 5s cannot go. Ya for mi of course got battery endurance because of huge mAH. tongue.gif But if apple can still last long a day. smile.gif

Iphone software optimization just great.

Anyway, that's one of the reason I suggest to TS to take stock vanilla android running smartphone such as Mi A1 in the first place if he/she want to change from iOS to Android. OEMs rom usually has bloatwares and other stuffs that may not so optimized causing unnecessary battery drainage. SoC for android also has many.

Wow.... Thanks everyone for your comment. I have decided to go with the iPhone 8 plus. Got it at the price of the 7 plus from SenQ and got 4 years warranty as well. Free case and free tenpered glass too πŸ˜€. Very good customer service.

I don't really fancy Samsung as a lot of my family members have bad experience with them.

As for Huawei, its a bit too unfamiliar for me.

Ive tried out the MiA1 at the Mi store at KLCC. Its quite different from iPhones but the killer is that the sales rep told me that it would last at most half a day in terms of battery life if i use Maps. For the redmi 5 plus, i guess its far in terms of quality if compared to the iPhone.

Thank you all for your advise and comments 😁

Although I thoroughly hate your decision, I can see why chose the iPhone 8 Plus, in my opinion the 8 Plus is much more worth it than the iPhone X. Congratulations on your new phone!

Thanks 😁. I think I’m already used to iPhone. Changing to Android is kinda tough. Currently working, don’t have time to experiment.

Can share info on the iphone pricing? Can get at any sengQ outlet?  Cause I plan to get one too. Thks.

Got mine for RM3,850 but To get that price, have to buy extended warranty at RM350 (extend to 4 years). Its a deal for old members i think. I have been a member with them for 5 years plus. Its better if you go and ask. I got mine at One Utama SenQ

Still incomparable with an Iphone no matter how hype it is and it is still Redmi not Mi.

Mi > Redmi

Yeah, and the Redmi 5 and 5 Plus were a disappointment yet people still hype it up. Like seriously the Snapdragon 625?

Snapdragon 625 is a great SoC, balance between performance and battery efficiency. You can't expect more from this price range.
