I hope that I'm in the right forum and there's no existing post before.
I had this Biostar mainboard with onboard VGA, and I tried to install a GeForce4 G4MX440 AGP graphics card to this mainboard. The problem is, when I use this graphics card, the screen freezes / Windows hanged, upon starting Windows (before the Windows desktop, taskbar is displayed).
I thought it might be the onboard VGA which causes the conflict, and I tried many ways to uninstall (from Windows) and disable the chipset via BIOS. But the screen still freezes.
Does anyone had this problem before? I'm using the onboard VGA now although I wish I could use the AGP card if possible. Any solutions or advice?
Thanks.
Make sure that you have set the primary display to AGP in the bios.I had this Biostar mainboard with onboard VGA, and I tried to install a GeForce4 G4MX440 AGP graphics card to this mainboard. Try booting windows in safe mode and install the graphics card driver.
