rclxm9.gif [GIVEAWAY] How will ASUS AiMesh benefit you?
______________________________________________
Hello everyone! cool2.gif

Who thinks it's time for a GIVEAWAY from us?

Just before CES 2018, ASUS announced AiMesh Whole-Home Wi-Fi for ASUS Routers. For those who don't know what that is - AiMesh is basically a free new router feature that connects multiple ASUS routers to create a whole-home Wi-Fi system, offering users a powerful and flexible alternative to proprietary mesh systems.

With AiMesh, all routers can still use all their own features, as well as all the features of the other routers — with easy central control of all settings from the ASUS Router mobile app or ASUSWRT. So great features like AiProtection, QoS and Parental Controls work across the entire network, ensuring that no-one can bypass them by connecting to a different router. (Just remember to always connect your highest-specification router to your internet service)

I actually run an AiMesh setup with a bunch of RT-AC68U for quite some time now. I am on Time Fibre 100Mbps. laugh.gif

AiMesh is better than the current mesh solutions in the market as it runs on fully fledged Asus routers. All features like USB file sharing, 4G Internet, Unifi, HyppTV and AdaptiveQoS are preserved. Yes, Unifi will work!

Besides, the performance of AiMesh is much better due to it runs on high end Asus router hardware. It is easily 2x the performance of those Mesh system kits.

AiMesh is like an equipment I am using as part of my digital life. Being a fanboy of asus, I've connected to asus not via AiMesh, but, through the product I buy from Asus. <3 . AiMesh not only will connect everyone (family) to be
close as the pieces of chips in the motherboard, instead AiMesh is the heart of the networking in my house. <3

- My home current configuration is terrible, even with 2 wifi extender there is still too many deadspot and spots with terrible connection quality.
I can't play game or watch video smoothly while I am enjoying my poo-ing time in the toilet. Internet connection in the living room is terrible (as the router are placed in master bedroom upstairs), being that we all have to be hermit and hide in our rooms on the second floor for better internet connection.

IF this AIMesh is as powerful as it says, it'll 'probably' be able to solve my house connection issues. Got to try it first or else I wont know if it is as powerful as it is

ASUS AiMesh could simply solve some wireless dead spots of my home, which provides uninterrupted and highest possible network speed across my house, which my current router wouldn't able to do.

- Current setup is more towards wired connection. My house wireless coverage is pretty bad at one ends of the house.
It's barely reach on the 3rd floor and quite hard for my guest to get a decent wifi connection. by having this AiMesh, i am going to repurpose my house from wired setup to wireless.
This might be a big project(especially on tearing down the cable tongue.gif). but once i get the AiMesh in hands, my network can be setup flawlessly and and my guest gonna love to stream a 4k content from my home media server.
Once again thanks Asus!

Current Wifi strength and setup is just sad.. Devices constantly switches between 2 Wifi SSID between my router and an extender.
With AiMesh, I believe it will be the solution to all my nightmares. Seamlessly switching between 2 Asus supported routers without connection dropping, it will be ass kicking!

• I have done some researches about the mesh WiFi system before I post my comment here. Just found out that the Mesh WiFi system is already the best router system that I have ever seen compare to the other routers like TP-Link C1200 and those with higher specs which I was hoping for. But, AiMesh totally defeated the current Mesh WiFi technology just simply because it can deliver higher speed and users can also configure on their computers too. These two simple features would save us a lot of time from getting it to be set up. These days, economy in Malaysia is not great. I have been trying hard to save some money to change to a better router but I don't hope for it instead, I would fight for it.

Read so many good and bad reviews of mesh WiFi technology, to be honest I am not convinced how it can improved my WiFi signal on my first floor (Main router at ground floor). Looking forward to test Asus and see if it really deliver high speed and strong WiFi signal. I need bandwidth prioritisation too as sometimes I will be running PS4 online game and torrent.

Tell us how you think the ASUS AiMesh will benefit you: Most electronics now require connection to Internet doesn't matter wireless or wireless. Even with my current setup, I still could not have complete coverage whereby I will still need to purchase a powerline adapter to reach the dead spots in my house. AiMesh will solve this problem and I believe at a much cost effective way.

I'm living in a double storey house, whenever my siblings and i wants to connect to the internet, we have to stay at the first floor. Or else the connection is poor.

Therefore, with the new AiMesh technology, i'm sure that it could improve our home living where we can connect to the internet easily, no matter we're at which floor.

Been using countless type of setup before my current ubiquiti gear. Tried velop and it was a pain to setup. Would like to see if AiMesh stands out to its glory.

• I roost in an N-shaped single storey dwelling. One can envisage the seemingly insurmountable obstacles while trying to provide, even, a half-decent wireless LAN signal to all corners of said abode. I trust AiMesh is more than capable of ridding me of my predicament with its presumed superior application of wifi meshing technology.

Looking forward to graduate from a spotty wifi extending setup to mesh network with the benefit of roaming around the house without losing connection as well and maintaining access to Asus applications which are heavily utilized.

My internet plan currently is Unifi 30 MBps (30 up/10 down)
I'm using these routers - 2xHuawei WS 880, 1x Xiaomi Wifi-3G
AI Mesh will benefit me by providing fence-to-fence coverage of my 80 feet long house, particularly to the wifi CCTVs located outdoors for security. The speed will also help my internal device-to-device streaming, including to my Raspberry Pi for video from my laptops, wherever they are!

let me list them down:
- I dont have to restart my unreliable router anymore when its down
- my sister can stream 4k video from the PC and laptop upstairs to the TV!
- my father can enjoy fast wifi even while in the garden, taking care of the plants
- I can separate wifi between family and guest.
- I can share files between our computer/laptop/tablet/phones at VERY fast speed, at a wide range!
