Guys,

Is 2013~2016 used Honda Accord worth considering? Budget below 70k
Anything I need to be aware of when looking for one? Like common problem of the car produced during that period?

thanks

you can get the older 8th gens for that money... basically impossible for the 9th gens i believe you are looking at (given the years you arre looking at which mainly encapsulates gen 9's)

Unless you really want an Accord, I'd recommend looking at something newer, more comfortable & under warranty wink.gif
If you can share why you want an Accord, it'll be nice wink.gif

Not fixated on accord, really. Just need a bigger car with better safety.
It was just because i was browinsg on mudah saw the price is within budget, so thought of check what are the commond problem of accord.

70k would probably get you a 2.0 even if it's possible (highly doubt so, and since you saw it on mudah, there's definitely hidden fee not included in the price).

Drove it, seriously underpower.

Those selling at this price has very very high mileage and it's the 8th generation year 2008-2013 model

I think quite hard to get one at your budget on the 9th generation

Above 90k maybe

Good choice

But people don't want that logo/badge on their car. The badge itself like destroy their image and downgrade their status. Regardless whether the car is a good car.

Unless TS remove the badge and replace it with the renowned and established Honda logo

Hahaha, i have nothg against Proton. In fact I own 2 proton cars myself now.
But am thinking, if need to fork out >85k, whether still worth getting. Cause once above 90k there are plenty of new car choices with better safety features, albeit a bit smaller; which is acceptable to me.

If you are not brand conscious get a second hand D-segment Korean car like Optima K5 or Sonata LF. They are goof value for money.

I sold my 2011 Accord last year. It's a good car. Super reliable and low maintenance costs. It handles pretty well and is good for a family. Last year, the market price for a 2.0 like mine was RM65k.

One thing that isn't so good us the safety features. Only two airbags and no traction control.

0-100kph is 10 seconds so it's no sports car but it's about average for family cars. Ignore those who claim it's underpowered.

Even if put Honda emblems/logos, the 2016 version looks very different already than the original Accord, and it's so butt ugly already! laugh.gif The older version Perdana is the one that can still be converted back to Accord coz still retain the same design but that one only provided to government people right?
