Hi All,

Want to ask simple question.

Is it worth to get this from shop for rm2900? (Lazada is going for rm2770)

I know Toshiba has sold their appliance department to china company(iirc). Will this effect my decision?

Specs:

I don't really care about brand. More on the tv itself. Specs/Ease of use/reliability/features.

Firstly, avoid TOSHIBA at most of all.

CS don't pickup. Warranty no follow-up.
Never ever buy TOSHIBA!!!

The worst marketing brand.
Toshiba have a lot of problems.

Please get Sharp, Sony, Samsung or Panasonic for your use.

Thanks biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Yes. After sales sucks.

Sent for warranty need for about a week or even a month.
Get Panasonic if you want additional 1 year when you register the E-Warranty.

I owned Panasonic TH-43E410K now. Tested in shop, it is very good.
Registered E-Warranty online. Now TV is now in the box. Waiting around this weekend for the TV to be fixed.

Thanks..

I also looking at U77 series Toshiba 4K LED TV. Saw it at showroom, not bad the color, design... but the thread here comment the customer service so bad, mean that really need to buy extended warranty?

I went through with it and bought the Toshiba u7750 55" with Android TV.

Before others make the decision. Can see my inputs.

The TV is using Android TV 6.01 MARSHMALLOW
resolution is 4k. No HDR.
Local dimming n frame dimming not supported.

Display is not comparable to a dumb internet Sony(my friend has one). The Sony display supports frame dimming. The blacks are blacker. The Sony also dippers hdr.

My opinions.
I chose this cause it was on promotion. Daily usage Wise it's ok. Android TV also has more apps.
However the display specs are totally not comparable to other manufacturers.
Other manufacturers mostly already offers HDR and some form of screen dimmingat the same price range.

I chose it for convenience now. And also to try another brand.
For you if you want a top display performer. So far can go sony or Samsung.
But they are more expensive

New info for all.

I am going to change the Toshiba TV. There is buzzing\whistling sound from the back when standby.

The speakers started to crackle now after few days and the volume isn't even high(1\4 of the full bar voume)

I wish I had seen your post 2 months ago - but what you say is completely true.

Unfortunately this is correct and the products have nothing to do with Toshiba any longer, they are just using the name to trick people into believing that they are getting Japanese quality when they are actually selling Chinese crap.
Unfortunately I feel into this trap - I bought the 55U9750VM - their high end TV assuming I will get a quality product. Unfortunately that's not the case.
This TV is an absolute piece of crap - the panel died after less than 6 week. Customer service sucks getting parts from KL takes 2 weeks, so the TV will be gone for 4 weeks. Yes, this is not toshiba but hisense so expect chinese quality and chinese customer service.
Stay away from these products as far as you can.

Oh. That's so sad that your panel died less than 2 months.
I read all the reviews in Toshiba FB complaint mostly is CS tidur and not helping customers after sales service.
Hisense not good also?

I bought Panasonic TV November last year. Until now still good.

Thanks.
