I'll go for PC P & C. That's the real deal. I've read many revies and forums out there like from Tom's Hardware, Overclockers Club, Real Overclock, AnandTech, Hexus and so on.. and i believe PC P & C already proved their credential. BTW, i luv one article/review from AnandTech regarding 'The Best PSU in 2007'. It goes to 'PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 QUAD (Red Colour)' after they tested 60 PSUs from various brand. This PC P & C got Gold Editor's Choice, the silver go to Antec TruePower Quattro 850 and OCZ ProXStream 1000 while Seasonic S12II managed to grab the bronze. Full article as the link below...

Just got a piece of PC P&C 750 Quad (Red) from Viewnet. They sell it for RM670.00. The weird thing is they do not publish it on the catalog / price list.

I think this is a good thread to ask my Q... Since last week, my PC has a problem to restart. I mean, when i choose to restart instead of shut down, the screen will blank, but i can hear the system like some sort of running, trying to boot the windows.. rclxub.gif So, in order to get my PC start, i have to shut down it 1st, waiting around 3-5 minutes b4 switcing it on again. sweat.gif If i immediately switch it on, definitely won't boot into windows. But i have no problem if i switch it on for the 1st time. The problem only occurs when already used the PC and then i switch it off 1st b4 switching it on again or i try to restart the system. Another thing i realised is, when i checked my HDD using a program called Harddisk Sentinel, which i do every week, i noticed that two of my HDDs have a same problem. The program stated that the health of those two HDDs as 88% and 94% The reason given by that program is a weak power supply. Do u think this is PSU related?? BTW, I'm using PC Power & Cooling 750w (Red one). other specs are: QX9650, 9600GT GC, 9 HDDs, 8GB RAM (4 Sticks), X-Fi SC & 6 fans. The system is mild overclocked (from default 3 Ghz to 3.333 Ghz.

Do i need to upgrade my PSU?? How much power is recommended?

9 hdd?? are u using ur system as a server?? maybe ur system need more juice. since u said that u got prob on switch on ur rig.

however, your prob just same like mine while i am using p4 back then. its caused by mobo failure...

try to remove some of ur hdd, or maybe try to use only 1 hdd then try again....

Not using it as a server but I'm using 9 hdds coz i'm a heavy downloader + cannot resist the temptation when saw a cheap hdd in garage sales sweat.gif sweat.gif Hopefully, the problem not related with mobo coz dun wanna change mobo / sent for RMA. Currently, observing garage sales in case got 1200w - 1250w PSU with a nice & affordable price.

Yup, agreed... I always refer to your fren, jonny everytime i wanna buy PSU since 2 years ago tongue.gif laugh.gif

The top three performers based on jonny (for 1000w and above only) are:

1. Enermax Galaxy Evo 1250W
Total Score - 9.9

Too bad, Enermax brand is overpriced here and i never see a higher than 1050w being brought in. The gud thing is corsair ax1200 has reach our shore and yeah, the price still quite expensive but reasonable.
