silverstone strider 400watts to say the least. Any 4 pinned psu should do the trick. 4pins to the cpu. P35 has 8 pins to the cpu

the most reliable? PC P&C 750Watts Quad Silencer. This is the king of the hill for my term of reference.

it doesnt have to be above 700 watts to be above tier 3, there are 560Watt psus in tier 1 as well.

Single Rails. And probably if budget is not a problem for you, you can try the PC Power & Cooling 750W Quad Silencer. Excellent psu, as said by one of my friends in LYN.

Added on March 23, 2008, 12:39 amoh, on another note, if this is an enquiry q, then this is a wrong thread, u should ask in Hardware QnA...

well i prefer cables hardwired to the ic inside the psu.. modular cables, though does the job well, it gives you the insecurity that it might plug out or the connection is not secure enough.. but as clawy said, for smaller rigs, having hardwired are crappy like mine too laugh.gif messy like spider web biggrin.gif...

QUOTE(lohwenli @ Jun 11 2008, 04:52 PM)
FSP is one of the 5 kings of desktop PSU makers a decade back before most of the other brands came about. They were PCP&C, Seasonic, FSP/Fortron and if I'm not mistaken the other 2 were Zippy and Tagan. The first 3 are still around, and still make the best PSUs money can buy, though they're each best in certain areas. PCP&C has the best in terms of raw wattage and voltage & ripple regulation. Seasonic has the highest efficiency of the 3 (being one of the first companies to achieve >85% efficiency). FSP makes the most affordable of the lot, without skimping on reliability, though their offerings tend to be towards the lower wattage range (<800W) due to their customer base being mostly OEMS.

Zippys are still available but not in Malaysia though smile.gif So is Tagan smile.gif
