At least a 750W PSU is recommended for CF/SLI. Your PC's total power draw maybe lower than 600w but it'll not strain your 750w psu working at 80% capacity as much as having a 600W one working at 95%-100%.

Hi guys, I'm building a gaming rig with a 4770K and a 290X which I'm planning to overclock plus get a second 290X within the next 6-8 months. I'm using a 240/280mm AIO to cool the CPU and a 120/140mm AIO to cool the GPUs. How much wattage do I need for it when I go at full tilt? Is 850/860W enough or do I have to get a 1000W one?
Thanks. =) |

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Sep 26 2015, 12:33 PM) Are you looking to build a small form factor machine? Anyway, take a look at the Silverstone 600W SFX PSU - though that one can be quite noisy... There's also the 700W Silverstone SFX-L (not SFX, as this one is slightly larger) PSU, which is 80+ Platinum certified. Though this is going to be very expensive.... Also, that unit isn't very good component-wise. This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Sep 27 2015, 10:29 AM |
