According to this article, there will be a 4-slot DDR2 DIMM and 4-slot DDR3 DIMM version. No hybrids (DDR2+DDR3) for this board though.

anyway,gaygaybyte mobo always got nice layout,but,we dont know how's the p35 performance....

Those heatpipes are starting to get crazy..More and more tower heatsinks are made onboard to mobo nowadays..

but i still prefer independent heat sink and no heat pipe,cause all sharing the same working temperature,making the chipset hotter and hotter.

I wonder whether this MB able to support DDR2-667 RAM, because from the picture we can see only "DDRII800/1066" word printed.

it's backward compatible with DDR2 tho right?

From the look of it, it does looks like it is able to support both DDR2 & DDR3 but using different slots. People had mention that DDR3 mobo is not going to be able to support DDR2 rams. So my best guess is that it is having 2 DDR2 slot and 2 DDR3 slots if it is able to support both rams...

Yeah..... already start using those solid cap since last year previous time & now to become more enthusiast mobo in the market

GA-P35-DQ6 support DDR2 RAM only
GA-P35T-DQ6 support DDR3 RAM only

so hv 2 diff model, 1 support ddr2 and other one ddr3... so no hybrid mobo(combo)

GA-P35-DQ6 (using DDR2 memory)
GA-P35T-DQ6 (using DDR3 memory)
GA-P35C-DQ6 (using both of DDR2 and DDR3)
GA-P35-DS4 (using DDR2 memory)
GA-P35T-DS4 (using DDR3 memory)
etc.

it looks GA-P35C-DQ6 it the best choice, can support both ddr2 & 3, no need to change mobo if wanna upgrade to ddr3

so... wat's so great bout this P35 & G33 compared to 965..? any1 knows...? other than DDRIII tat is which is currently not available...

From what I get this board will arrive by today, GA-P35-DQ6 for DDR2 memory.

seems that for m'sia market, all current available P35/G33 Chipset mobos are utilising DDR2 only.. it'll take a while for DDR3 to appear in our market...

these new chipsets are more of 1333MHz FSB compliant, using new ICH9/ICH9R SB for better I/O, and most likely new implementation of VRM for 45nm procs... cheers~

Gigabyte P35C-DS3R supports DDR2 and DDR3 with six RAM slots. 4 for DDR2 and 2 for DDR3.

i think should be wait for some western white mice do review first,we never know how it performs....

and one thing,new thing better dont buy first,must got a bit bugs one....

at last it arrived in our market...

from there we can see that the motch of the ddr2 and ddr3 is a big distance....
but we can also see that the slowest ddr3 speed will be only 1066

combo mobo always got some kind of probs... not a good choice even if available...

I just noticed Gigabyte actually etched/printed the P35 new features onto the mobo itself -.- . A waste of space IMO. Reminds me of 226BW which also etched '2ms response time' onto its bezel.

no. the slowest ddr3 speed is 1066. it's also available in 1333.
like ddr, slowest is 266, followed by 333, 400...

seem the gigabyte have release the DQ6 that can support ddr3 i wonder

so far no intel chipset based mobo capable sli, P35 like current P965 run crossfire 16x + 4x

how about ddr3 speed at 1600??

well,u see,most of the mobo stated now is ddr2 800 but we able to run our oc'ed ddr2 1000 on that ddr2 800 mobo.so,should be no problem running it.....

and AFAIK from western country there,the DDR3 2GB would be RM4k++ if not mistaken,it stated down 959USD,but i forgot what website already....

Nice. I might get P35-DS3R, supposedly a spiritual successor to 965P-DS3 says Anandtech... lucky i haven't buy the old one yet.

What's wrong with running CF on 16x 4x?

P35(DDR2/3 hybrid) i think will just fail like 915P (DDR1/2)

P35 is just a stopgap measure for people to transition to DDR3

New chipset is good, just the gigabyte model P35 with hibrid DDR2+DD3 might failed like old mobo version, thats what he's saying.

Ive seen the ASUS P35 version, their mobo version only support DDR3 not like gigabyte. Depends on the manufacturer ...

where u see the ASUS P35 mobo, or u just read review bout the mobo?
there few model intel P35 mased mobo from gigabyte, gigabyte hv model which support just DDR3, just Support DDR2 and hybrid (DDR2 & 3)

anyone bought it already? do post some reviews. btw, DDR3 still scarce and cost a lot. a 2GB kit can buy a new midrange pc
