@jetpeh

No problem, glad to help.

Last time, Fu Yang also can negotiate. That's where I started collecting TTs. But, nowadays, big timer. Price tag not displayed. If you buy a few, will simply quote price. Or worse, won't even entertain vmad.gif . That's why stopped going there.

The middle shop is Toybox. Only entertain wholesalers / regular clients. Those people can buy a few models with discount. When you ask the staff why double standard, don't even bother to reply.

For me, will only buy from Jia Yang. Always no new stocks rclxub.gif , but when new stocks come rclxm9.gif It helps if you want to learn how to be patient smile.gif

BTS - graffitti hobby 6-33 & joy refuel station 6-09. mostly MGs. Quite pricey, but can negotiate.

Alternative, 10 minutes walk to Pudu Plaza. 1 shop at LG floor. 10% discount if purchase > RM50, 20% > RM300. More models, both TT and GHD.

want to learn burmese, go hang out at chowrasta or wherever in Penang with lots of foreign workers  tongue.gif Just make sure its not vietnamese, cambodian or sawadeekap.
RX 178 Mk2 AEUG PG and Shin Musha SNJ MG has landed in M'sia  drool.gif . Unfortunately, not at Jia Yang  sad.gif Hope it won't take another year to arrive there.

Also, TT has created history. TT Sinanju more expensive than Bandai. 1 shop quoting RM299 (Bandai only RM249). Guess thats what happens when people starts to "goreng".

Yeah, saw them at Fu Yang yesterday when going to Chow Kit. Didn't ask price since I haven't went to Jia Yang. XP

Woah, TT Shinanju more expensive than Bandai one. ...cool. But it looks like I won't be buying it like that lah. @_@

Anyways, I managed to go to Jia Yang but the available Gunpla was really limited. It looked so little it might even seem like they might not restock them anytime soon (but I hope they will get new stuff soon...). Then again, I might only be able to go to KL next year by the earliest.
While there wasn't that many choices, I bought me HG Virtue, HG Throne Zwei, HG Tieren Space Commander, HG Destiny, MG Strike Noir (the ONLY MG there) and PG Wing Zero Custom (the ONLY PG there). Wished they had some other MGs though. Gonna build the PG first... my first PG. ^^
I actually wanted to go back to Fu Yang to get me the Strike Freedom FBM but I felt that I might not be able to stuff it in our luggage later so bleh (and the PG Wing took so much space in the end). x.x

seikofarlim, I'm from Penang and would love to start on gundam modelling...can you let me know the exact location of the shop you mentioned?
i.e. farlim book store (near any landmarks?)
i.e. the 2 pasar malam guys (which pasar malam?)

appreciate the information you've posted here so far...:-)
*
@1, Now is 3 pasar malam seller not 2, I only know tuesday in tanjung bunga, wendesday in farlim and sunday in paya terebung, the rest is macallum street and perak lane(sorry i dont know what day).

@2, opposite of island plaza, no need to go there now because his boss only come back from china jan 14. Boss's brother like lancau, if you talk to him, you feel wanna slap him. (they selling the cheapest gundam in penang 1/144 16~18.) I only post the location after his boss come back.

@3, nowadays Bookshop "bo kang tao" either their price abit high compare to pasar malam and island plaze, got one perak lane sell cheap last time. But now they goreng the price.

@4, one bookshop in front of old sunshine farlim sell san qou gundam very cheap, you can try your luck there.

Chowrasta market normaly fully with mamak and indonesia. burmese girls only got a few at komtar money changer but all fat fat milf, but mejestic heights got alot of vietnamese girls, want the google map location or not smile.gif

People goreng the price up, but we only show who and where can get best price in this forum. One thing for sure after ppl watch prime92 in youtube, they will buy hongli instead of bandai. Because bandai expected you re-paint the whole thing again, TT hongli expected you didnt paint anymore.

===> liew, can i goreng this? = tt hongli oo fighter and oo raiser 1/144 very easy to fit with NX raiser, no need modify(cutting) or super glue.

To be honest, now i am only waiting for my new gundam. (I will post the picture in 10 days time).

(I heard new model will come out next week, susanowa 1/100) <========= didnt confirm yet, please dont believe. i am just asking information here.

Added on December 31, 2009, 4:04 amSome times i feel, we are talking about tt hongli gundam here. What happen if the japanese who designed the gundam from his hand accidently come to this forum and saw us promote tt hongli here? To be honest, each time when I asembling my tt hong gundam, i am asking myself who the f*** got this kind of genius create this fine art.

To honour the japanese art, i will buy a few av movie tomorrow. Anybody know where i can buy the latest av movie? liew, any google map location ? smile.gif

If bandai want to curse us, they should blaim their appointed whole seller who always treat us like waterfish. Any how the curse wont harm us because we dont understand japanese language smile.gif

If you go to other gunpla forums, some of them are really against TT. But, some are equally supportive. If we raise this discussion, I think will never finish.

So, I suggest we just enjoy our TTs and let Bandai sort out whatever they want.

For me, not serious into gunpla. I will only buy TT at discounted price. Thats why saw RX178 also can resist. So, if only Bandai available, will totally stop.

Really support what @seikofarlim says, we recommend shops so others can get cheap TTs. And when the shop has better business, can get new models faster. Hopefully, not like the other shop, become big timer, ignore small fries.

@rndm

Good haul also. Too bad you came at a time when Jia Yang hasn't restocked for a few months.

Post work in progress on your PG (you have a blog, right ?). Mine is still in box, so interested to see how it goes.

The pasar malam in Tanjung Bungah is on Tuesday nights near the rapid penang bus station. The seller moves about his location so it won't be fixed but normally in the centre area. His shop is in maccallum street market 2nd floor. Nice guy and price is reasonable. Bought HG's from him fro RM 18 where the Prangin mall shop selling at RM 29.90.

Just went to Jia Yang (give my colleague tour of toy shops there). Current stock - PG Wings, MG Strike Noir. HG - strike freedom, destiny, some thrones, nadleeh, some tierens.

Also went to Toy Box. Spoke to a chinese guy (slightly chubby, round face). He says can give 20 to 30% discount for Gundam if buy a lot. Didn't go into specific since we were not prepared to buy and carry back to office.

Their stocks now include MG - Strike FBM $120, Strike, Infinite Justice, Strike Noir $78, RX 93 (not too sure). Also, 1/100 Kyrois, Exia $56, Exia Avalanche, Astrea, Exia trans-am $56, Blue destiny, Akatsuki silver. Also, some san guo models.

If interested, look for him since he also gunpla "kaki". Last time, when I asked other staffs, no discount.

I think this Saturday should be fine. I haven't been to his shop before. Only at the tanjung Bungah pasar malam as it is just walking distance to where I stay. Would be a worthwhile trip. I will try to make it about 5

There are 2 shops there one on the 6th floor and another at 5th floor opposite side. The 6th floor is run by a Malay guy. Negotiate like crazy with them and you should get a good price if you are buying one or 2 pieces only. If buying a lot I think you should follow Liewpk's lead and head to chowkit

Seikofarlim,

I already got the gadessa on my trip to chowkit. Nice built and color tone. No problems with the kit. Also got the OO fighter from chong and combine with my O raiser but found the parts don't actually fit nicely abit too loose and had to use cement on some parts. Also a bit too small for such a nice kit. i will probably get the 1/100 one soon as I really like this kit.
