 xunlei good for bt, tm streamyx cant block the user

haih.. i had used before many kind of torrent client.. bitcomet,utorrent,azureus, bit torrent, flashget.. so far the one i like the most was bit comet.

utorrent, bit torrent = too simple
flashget = most of the time it coz cant surf web if download torrent
azureus = need to install java
bit comet = easy, simple but a lot of function that i needed.

i used bit comet all the time.. and it reach up to 100-190kb/s most of the time. If using tmnet wireless can reach up to 250kb/s but it start to slow down today.. i duno what happen on it.. sad.. sad.gif somemore now using bit comet it coz i cant surf web, wondering what happen.. the setting that i had done was only activate the upnp. Because trying is there any different using NAT or UPNP? hm.. and it make i cant surf web if dling torrent shocking.gif

But a new router icon_rolleyes.gif i was... shock shocking.gif i remove most of the torrent(bit comet) and open thunder to download a torrent and test.. it was able to surf web.. but that not weird.. and then i try open bit comet and resume my download.. it can reach to 80-90kb/s again! rclxub.gif somemore it still can surf web.
*in same time i didnt close my thunder aslo.

Dun even know what was happen.. last time flashget coz this problem cant fix it. Now it back to normal.. save work for format pc rclxm9.gif

But before this what had i do was:-
install gigaget, thunder, upnp for window(networking tool), in same time had uninstall and install thunder for 2 time coz testing something.

Anyhow bit comet can back to normal drool.gif

I was thinking does port forward that important? Because i tested with port-forwarded and without.. it still can reach high speed. Except for emule rclxub.gif

port forwarded and triggered definitely.
no firewalls.
router firewall i bring down long time ago.
AVG antivirus but doesnt matter coz i kill that app each time i swtich on the pc.
Ran 2 diff routers without MIMO, Linksys WRT54G and a Netgear w614G. both also reacted the same when xunlei is on.

Xunlei averagely downloads at 240kbytes/s. fast for my 1mb line.

any tips on what other settings and tweakings i need to look into ?

This happenend to me before, but it only make me able to download torrent, on opened, only downloading was running(only apply to torrent, if direct i still can do anything i like except play online game will laggy)

Somemore this only happened to me when using flashget. Once installed flashget and use it to download torrent, even had remove the flashget it still will coz the same problem. So i say to myself.. No more flashget in my pc icon_rolleyes.gif

Somemore even i cant surf web when this problem happen to me, but other pc still able to do their thing. Maybe too many wireless... they travel through air and coz collision? shocking.gif

Today i using thunder to download a psp game .. i was trying to resume using thunder which the file was previously download using bit comet. Somehow it cant be resume, then i start a new download, but it modify the file. Then when it almost finish it keep stay at 99.5% even though downloading but it never finish! shocking.gif maybe because juz now i rename the bit comet unfinish file, so i juz copy the file and change to .bc! and using bit comet to resume and wait for awhile.. it had finish downloaded! shocking.gif which mean bit comet can resume thunder raw file+bit comet (complicated).. thumbup.gif im not really know how to see chinese word.. but does thunder does got hash checking? or it using another method?

Added on July 17, 2007, 12:11 amHm.. it kinda weird.. im using bit comet run a torrent, in same time im using thunder run a same torrent. Mean in 1 time both running same torrent. The result was, bit comet downloading, where the thunder still same at 0.01%. Not even downloading.. what happen? shocking.gif

had try la.. both running at same time sweat.gif and found out bit comet running, and only the bit comet downloading. Somemore juz now i done and had port forwarded with upnp activated. And the xunlei become green light then duno what happen after i restart pc, it had become yellow light! shocking.gif im still using same ip address. Somemore how to resume task? it redownload again(i had put all the same file in the right directory) cry.gif

for me i personally didnt think that limit will help.. because this problem does happen to me.. what even i tried it still the same.. somemore the download even <5kb.. But it only happen once i download torrent.. if direct its not. And then after i had format pc and installed back with same setting it become normal back. Duno what going wrong. shocking.gif

But i didnt set the limit of upload and download.. somemore it happen after i pause the download and then when i resume, it didnt even can scan for peer.. not even half hour i pause it sad.gif But i had deleted the files.. had wait for many days it still the same coudlnt scan for any peer

duno what wrong with my bit comet.. it cant download anymore.. any task i put it i compare with xunlei.. at least xunlet did dl-ing eventhough it was slow.. but bt keep at same state 0kb. At least i found that xunlei useful.. 1 task of same tracker quite slow.. so im juz devide it and run multiple task when all the speed ++ = 100kb smile.gif

Added on July 24, 2007, 1:43 amWow! Do u all tried this before? I download a movie and it stuck at 99.99% ! If it was u, what u was gonna do? i Pause it and Resume but it still the same! Then i change the extension to bc! then use bit comet hast checking and it show 100%! shocking.gif and then at xunlei it become 100%.. hm.. So recommend use 2 application :thumb:

Seriously, you should uninstall Bitcomet right about now. After the insane traffic shaping started late last year, I tested a couple of torrents on both Bitcomet and uTorrent on the same port at different times (not far apart of course). Both had encryption on. On Bitcomet I got 0. The client simply refuses to work. uTorrent at least gave me 2K/s. It's horrid but at least it was running.

A few moments later I gave up and decided to try uTorrent, using different ports, and resume my previously paused torrents.

That's weird.. mine also droped back to at range <30kb. But when i do some setting and restart it increase back to 100kb(same torrent).. shocking.gif But after it finished download, it drop back again sweat.gif Thinking of did the MTU will help on downloading?

Its more leecher then our download speed with be faster? There is 1 time when i was downloading, the xunlei detected returned peer was about 500 but the download speed was slow.

But there is 1 thing im wondering, do u tried yourself, own is leecher and seeder? i seed a files and download it myself using bit comet and xinlei. Then the upload speed increase till 250kb/s. Anyone know what kind of communication it used? Even the normal(other torrent) upload i set to unlimited i also couldnt upload it till 50kb/s

Now i was trying 1 thing.. xunlei scanned and returned there was 3.4k peer. But u guess the speed was how much? not even 15kb and it was unstable. Drop and increase. I juz felt like the internet speed was slow. Even i direct download the speed also slow. Using rm88 package. Not even 100kb for direct download, because usually it easy to achieve 100kb for direct download

From the previous that i sad got 3.2k peer returned from from xunlei, now i see the torrent again i saw it about 8.2k peer! shocking.gif U all guess what? Speed only about <10kb/s OMG!

U go look for your files at TDDOWNLOAD folder. The xunlei temporary files was .td extension. U juz rename it as:-
example.rmvb.bt.td
INTO
example.rmvb.bt.bc!
And then move the .bc! files into DOWNLOAD folder. When u move it, remember move the folder also(if have)
After done that, then u open the torrent using bit comet, then it will promt u for hash checking then u press yes.

Im using bc and xunlei. I did set my router to UPNP and which make bc and xunlei will auto set the port. he xunlei show green color. But the bc was show blocked. When i check on NAT(virtual server) it does created for the port that bc needed. I keep press check again it still show block. But i remember that when im starting the bc it show green then after some sec it show yellow. I close and open it back it still the same, This scratches my head off..
