i did a bandwidth test on my houses

1mb streamyx - clocked at 1.6 @ speedtest.net and streamyx speedometer. roughly averaging bout 160-170kb/s

2mb streamyx - clocked at 2.8 @ speedtest.net and streamyx speedometer. roughly averaging 300-320kb/s (only from microsoft sites)

2mb metrofon - clocked at 1.9 @ speedtest.net and streamyx speedometer. roughly averaging 260kb/s (via www.download.com)


1mb - dad's house aman suria

2mb streamyx - my house aman suria

2mb metrofon - mom in law's house dataran prima condo.

anyway to answer your question, doing port forwarding might help. default port on xunlei is 80 and 15000 i think. tcp or udp i'm not sure coz i juz did for both tcp and udp. apparently even if i dont do port forwarding it still works. my screen shot can be shown above, network is on yellow.
and bout your torrents, i have no doubt it may be high seeding, so u could perhaps check on the following:

1 - that u're the only one logged onto your router(or if u dont have one, make sure u're not sharing your connection). could be someone else other than u downloading.

2 - do a bandwidth test to see your connection speeds as a rough gauge of what speed u should be getting.

3 - get a extremely high seeding torrent. i suggest several like those from dattebayo's naruto or bleach or perhaps even the tv series heroes. extremely high seeding and downloaders.

4 - gauge speed with perhaps dot net framework 1,2,3, from microsoft's site.

5 - reboot router(if have) and get a diff ip on your modem.

anyway u could try those steps. remember, to gauge your speeds, u have to find out what speed u get at first. i strongly suggest downloadin directly from microsoft itself as a test.

have u patched your tcp 1/2 open connection on your windows ? or maybe tampered with your router settings like Max Transmission Unit??

if all else fails, u could either visit HeHeHunter's FAQ on xunlei , which can be found at his blog (click on his signature )
or turn to deluge or utorrent1.8 . whichever works best for you.

still speedy still the same normal full speeds.

did u read his FAQ ? FAQ stands for frequently asked questions.
AFAIK he has a very comprehensive guide.

Xunlei is in chinese. His translation pack u unzip the folder into thunder's language directory. And u set it to read english in xunlei itself..

in previous posts there were some who used CFOspeed to tame xunlei in order for them to be able to surf.
for me i only start xunlei when everyone's asleep.

yesterday and today, my xunlei downloaded stuff at extreme full speeds, roughly around 300-400kBytes/s
amazing.

some would recommend u to use CFOspeed

Try to do a bandwidth test @ speedtest.net and compare it with other countries and regions. That's roughly the amount you can best obtain. Links to international dont reach 1mbps even if u are using 1mbps streamyx. I got bout 200+kbps to Melbourne and 100+ to NY. Absolutely nothing we can do about this. (u get better speeds if seeders are from singapore or thailand or even HK)

everything seems normal and fine for me at the moment. tested with multiple high seeding torrents. still getting max speeds.
alot of people have been complaning bout slow downloads these days. even from HTTP. probably due to upgrading works. hang in there for a few more days and see then. no need to worry now.

it shud be in control panel ----> regional and language options. try chinese prc or taiwan or some other chinese. i think there's singapore and macau also. hope it works.

i'm banana therefore i dont really touch those settings.
