I am using Schools internet.

7mbps as what they claimed but it's actually 2.5mbps only...
My school is not using screamyx.

However, I no longer BT anymore.

The TCP, just set 80...

download speed is dependent on the upload party's speed,
to fully utilize the bandwidth, maybe should consider adding more task into the download list.

Sometimes im getting the speed at 100k+ regardless of Xunlei or uTorrent biggrin.gif,
sometimes less than 10k sad.gif

I think, it 's very much depends on the seed.

Cheers.

I have a theory that I wanted to share with you guys........

You all know RapidShare right...........Well,based on my experience,whenever I can download from RapidShare with full speed,my torrent speed will decrease gradually......

But,when my download speed from RapidShare becomes slower,then torrent becomes a lot faster........

hmm.gif

Just a theory though..........

lets say u hav 100kbps to spend,
whenever u hav a number downloadin goin, it will be divided by the number..
it apply for all, http, ftp, irc, or any p2p protocol, such as bittorrent, so if u downloadin files from rapidshare at 90kbps, that mean u would hav a remainin 10kbps for other connection

well, if im not wrong sweat.gif

What about upload speed? No need upload anything ah? Use common sense la. BitTorrent is not like Direct Download. It needs download and upload. Unless your using the 1mb download/upload package, then yeah, there's something wrong.

I noticed that a great BT speed from thunder is depends on client ip address u have...

In my case, I experienced
60.48... ---> OK (unstable)
60.49... ----> having some speed (not very high)
60.50... ---> low speed(almost nearly to 0)
60.51... ----> similar to 60.48
60.53.../60.54.... ----> Great (quite stable)

Note: For some situations, also need depend on numbers of peers and seeders...

its bout dl speed

oh well. every type of connection need both peer to communicate, it like telling `i am receiving the files` or else the the other will stop sending till it gets a response to continue sending

so if u use up all your upload speed on torrenting, u will experience lag on other appz that need to use the bandwitch, even for the bittorrent client itself

can someone or anyone post the proper setting for xunlei
- screenshot will be the best
- post at 1st page
- do include which the most suitable port

you all just keep posting how fast and great is your speed and i don't give a damn how fast you download
this thread is to help people gain high DL speed from torrent using xunlei
not showing off speed here
