currently there are 2 models to choose from, which is Compaq Presario V3203 and benQ T31.which is better eh?

1. Brand : compaq or twinhead...or u have other idea??
2. Budget : rm3000
3. Specs : amd turion or intel core 2 duo
                1GB RAM
                120GB HDD
                dvdrw, bluetooth, light weight
4. Size : if possible i want 12.1" but if cannot i still can consider 14.1"

Im planning to buy a new laptop soon...i know nothing about laptop and i never own any before. Just wanna know is Hyundai M-life M521N good? The spec looks ok to me and its not so expensive. Or u guys can intro other brand with similar spec and price.

They want the business, their major earning from selling computer is from upgrades, so if you won't upgrade then they didn't earn much from you.

Dell provided installment plan for maybank and citybank credit card only. Actually dell got some unspoken deal like they can match the price of the other brand same hardware spec and give you additional Rm300 discount and if you got friends work inside dell also can get employee discount.

I'm looking for a notebook that range price is below than Rm 2950. The problem I had is I need :

1) Win XP Pro or Win Vista Home Premium (Original)
2) Whether to take the Core 2 duo T5300/T5500 or Turion X2 TL-56 ...
3) Even there are fastest Intel proc option, I heard that there are problem with the Intel Integrated graphic (950 GM) that low performance when playing games rather than nVidia/Ati graphic ..

What have I done in this few weeks :

Dell - I've visiting the Dell website because it can be customised, but this week the offer were include with free Targus webcam that not in my list and I didn't need it (I know that they still charge the price Rm 87 ) and it over my budget ....

Compaq - Compaq can't customised but I think I'll wait until 1 june to wait if there are new model .. I can get the free DOS version but compared to the Dell price, Dell give more better option ..

Acer - Acer didn't have AMD Turion option that better than Compaq ..

So, until know it's hard for me to choose .. 

It have been 2 weeks since I want to buy it ... but I'm become confused since I only have limited budget .. 

Anyone can help to give me any solution? Or perhaps I should wait a little more ..

How come T5500 is only 1.66ghz and T2250 is 1.73ghz and u consider it as an upgrade? Just curious, in fact i'm ignorant in this.

anyone can recommend similar specs from other brands? You can exclude those which are heavy (3kgs ++) as i'm looking for lightweight laptops.

Need recommendation upon buying new laptop.
Brand - any but Compaq due to bad experience using 2 Compaq laptops where both end up with harddisk crash. but do share your GOOD Compaq experience as well if u think i'm just unlucky and should change my mind on this issue.

Budget - around RM2500 or lesser. If can installment then better.

Specs - looking at my budget and u'll know it's not a high end laptop coz it is not affordable for me.

Ram : 1G at least
Graphic : Capable of mild gaming such as DotA, CS, WOW and etc. I heard GMA950 not bad, izzit?

Rom : DVD Burner
Software : Not needed any software. As long as I can get the notebook and
can format myself to install window then is ok oredi.
Others : Got wireless and must be nice looking :-P
Currently the option i have on my mind is Dell Inspiron 640m that quoted at RM2399 on dell.com.my. It matched all my needs but there is one thing i dont like about it. It looks sux. So, i would like to listen to you people out there to see if got any better suggestions. Thanks first ya. :-P
