hi, i may need a notebook for college next year. i am pretty new to the notebook side of things~~ my main concern is price/performance. budget is around RM5000+-(not more than RM5500) i am an active gamer and my concern is about the dedicated graphics in the notebook itself. hopefully the graphics is able to play dx10 games and able to last for future games. brands i'm looking at are Asus, HP, BenQ and Toshiba (acer and dell as backup). i know this is a lot that i'm asking of you si fu's...but please do recommend me a notebook that can fit my specifications...

QUOTE(selinix @ Dec 26 2007, 11:06 AM) It looks like BenQ S41H fits your requirement and budget well ... Comes with c2d T7500 2.2ghz and a 8600gs graphic card ... 14.1" inch for good mobility... and the price is below RM4.5K if i am not mistaken... Thanks for this. I will definitely keep a close watch on this notebook . But preferably a 15.4" screen would be better.

QUOTE(selinix @ Dec 26 2007, 02:08 PM) then just go to dell.com.my and configure yourself a dell xps m1530 or a dell insprion 1520 as i said, i will take Dell as a backup. I pretty much prefer other brands for the moment and i heard that the Dell xps has problems(correct me on this). Thanks for the advice anyways.

QUOTE(selinix @ Dec 26 2007, 08:27 PM) Because for your budget i think thats the best i can recommend you since you prefer to have a 15.4 inch more .. actually, i prefer more graphics power than screen size but the screen size is fairly important.

QUOTE(sukhoi37 @ Jan 4 2008, 09:15 PM) hi all, my friend wanna buy a gaming laptop budget rm5k. he want the screen as big as possible... he doesn't care about the design... he like gaming... 160gb hdd is enough for him. any recommendation? msi and asus laptop good? My friend, as far as i know, the price of "gaming laptops" are usually RM6000 above. If your friend cant scoop up that much money, the i suggest he look through the THIS LINK HERE to see all the benchmarks that a few forumers here have posted on for more information for the laptop.. just my 2cents edit: try looking a few post back. those laptop stated should be alright This post has been edited by HyeoshinX: Jan 4 2008, 11:43 PM
