When you buy a Sony, you're paying for the name " SONY"

There's the Sony Vaio FE but for a 7600GS, 2GB of RAM,100 GB Hard Disk Drive... not really worth it.

oh..toshiba n fujitsu also branded right? i'm considering buying a lappie also..looking around..anyway,any common probs for toshiba n fujitsu?like acer has the heat prob

Well... you can be assured that Fujitsu is manufactured in Japan whereas Toshiba is made in Philippines. And Fujitsu has a service centre in Tropicana. Not too sure where Toshiba's one is though.

Plus Fujitsu has good service... i know because my dad changed his laptop twice after frying it because of lightning. Both times they replaced the laptop FOC because of his warranty.

oh ok..with Rm3.5k-4.5k can get toshiba or fujitsu lappie?then y still buy acer or hp since it's better?better specs?

Like i said...looking at not only one choice. I also would like some input from other forumers here.

some times depends on how u trust the brand lar ^ ^
but for low end model ... etc below 3k
better dont take acer .. coz the built quality is really ... ( u know )
if lets said u hv higher budget ,maybe u can try toshiba or fujitsu ..
even .. i think asus or benq will do ^ ^

i think maybe u can get a BENQ S31v
is 13.3" oni ... n is using core 2 duo ,
n even is come with vista home premium preload ..

Yes,u can get better spec with the same price if comparing fujitsu with other brand. Within RM4.5k ,u still cant get a dedicate GPU laptop in fujitsu(eat brand & nice service) choice but HP, NEC, BenQ(more valueable) did...

I would recommend u take NEC(Japan No.1) If u prefer Japan's made laptop.

* Kindly wait for 2~3weeks for the santa rosa laptop lauch. With ur budget, u can get a good performance santa rosa laptop alr.

prob is my dad is using Fujitsu and he's pushing me to get one from that brand since he says the after-sales service is very very good.

Then easy..U just target at Fujitsu model enough lo. no need consider about other points alr since ur daddy just prefer Fujitsu wat?

RM4499..1GB..nvidia 8600MT 256mb dedicated GPU!!! n up to 784 shared GPU memory..meaning..u can lossely say tat u got 1GB GPU!!

haha..n very nice lappie..i might get this one..

but stil lacking 3yrs warranty n 2GB
