Recommendation needed

I would like to get a notebook for STUDENT use, and some GAMING, ENTERTAINMENT as well,
easier to carry everywhere and would last for about 3 to 4 hours, and would not burn out easily.
if can hope to get one with better graphic card and Multi Combo Drive burner, 160GB HDD.
My budget is around 2.5k to 3k, more preferred to reliable brand, like Lenovo, toshiba(if can), but acer or others also acceptable, but not likely to get ASUS BENQ or DELL.

Erm..yeah Acer look kinda nice and not too heavy,oso hv Nvidia 8600m GT 256 DDR2,but slower HDD
but the M1330 even its small nicer than acer but lack of USB ports..hv Nvidia 8400m GS 128mb
but benchmark results between 1720 and Acer 5920 is few points difference only..except for 17" screen for 1720

hm.. what is the cheapest price to get such spec??
