Hi guys! I'm considering on either getting a Dell Vostro or Latitude with a 14.1"WXGA LCD or an XPS with a 15.4"WXGA but can't really make up my mind. The Vostro 1400 appeals to me the most currently, followed by the Latitude D630 but there's almost a RM1k price difference between comparatively similar specs. I have these few questions though.
i) Is there a big difference between the 8400M GS and 8600M GS and 8600M GT (Vostro only supports up to 8400M GS while XPS has the 8600) ii) Is there a big difference between the T7250 and T7300? (both are 2.0GHz but the first has 2MB cache while the latter has 4MB but does it make a big difference?) iii) what GPU is comparable to the nVidia Quadro NVS 135M used by the Latitude D630? Is it usable for gaming or only good for designing programs etc. Thanks a lot in advance for the help! |

I am considering to get a notebook myself, I narrowed a few brand that I am comfortable with:
1. HP/Compact 2. Dell 3. Fujitsu 4. Toshiba I also have a few requirement: 1. at least 2.0Ghz Core2Duo 2. at least 2 GB RAM 3. at least 120 GB HDD 4. between 14-16 inch sreen 5. windows Vista (probably Ultimate?) I do not need a Webcam, and my budget is below RM4500, and above RM3000. Anyone have a suggestion? It will really help, thanks. |

Will Dell change the processors to Penryn next month, specifically for the Inspiron 1520? Would the price increase a lot or remain pretty much the same?

WELL HEAR 2 RAM SLOT, NO WIFI, DRIVERS IS ONLY FOR WINDOWS VISTA ACCORDING TO THE HP GUYz... So wanna get some advise from any of the experts here if the drivers is possible for Windows XP despite that the noteboook is built with the platform for Windows Vista. As we know Celeron 1.86 & 512 Ram is kinda no no for Windows Vista... your advises TQ Well to my opinion, is it true that manufacturer will only provide drivers for their hardware solely to cater for the Windows Vista? Well i tend to doubt it too... unless the manufacturer is Microsoft themselves as they will wanna push the sales of Vista though... but for other hardwares i might doubt it... Anyway wanna get your expertise on what are hardwares installed in order for me to identify which is from microsoft and start GOOGLEing...
