SGI , i think the price also quite giant ... right ?
*
Of course, they run on their proprietary unix system call irix. So designer/user normally use a thin client to login to the SGI server farm then render their 3D graphic using the server farm.

A dual processor one will cost about USD16k+, a 4 processor one double the price. Normally company just buy them in cluster. Dreamworks got a SGI cluster farm sweat.gif

Government sure can buy lah since it is Ah Kong's money. They spend more on MSC and get nothing in return.

i need comment on this notebook ... i'm about to buy this notebook

I had try this tablet pc before, it comes with 1 4 cell and 1 6 cell battery. The thing you need to beware is it is actually quite heavy for a 12 in. Unless you are Arnold schwarzenegger, it will be quite hard for a normal ppl to treat it as tablet pc and carry it around 1 hand for long time

Thanks for the reply.

What I mean by "Selling point" is bigger screen of 15.1" biggrin.gif However, I think the 1720 is out of my budget. Since your friend said so, I think I'm going to order it tonight.

So, for DELL, is it better to order ONLINE or through PHONE?
*
If you want to bargain for backpack or something else you might need to call them up or else just order it online with your credit card.

hm.. sud i add rm489 upgrade fr t5250 1.50ghz 667mhz to t7100 1.80ghz 800fsb for the dell 1520 ??
*
The new T7100 price is 800-900. And depends on what you want to use your laptop for. If you use it for microsoft office and browse net only then probably don't need that much clock speed, if you think of doing more than that then it is a worth upgrade. At least you don't have to open up your laptop up and upgrade the processor yourself in the future 2-3years wink.gif

If you plan to use vista as programming and compile your code, you better go for 2gb or else you might start swearing on your laptop.

If you plan on dual boot, 80gb of hdd will be real tight. wink.gif
