saw a post sayin tat benq s41 r using 8600go n at rm4188 onli..
tell me more bout tis lappy..

I also heart attack when saw this news cos i just purchased R55 for 1 month. If now still havent buy yet sure ll wait for s41. 

Can any1 recommend between the selected models below...

All having the same price...juz a little bit of diff in specs...

From what I've read, the S41 has a 8600M GS and the benchmarks shows that it is only a tad better than x1700/go7700 . I doubt you lot would lose out much

SO wads the diff between a AMD X2 TL-52 1.6ghz , Core Duo 1.86ghz , Core 2 Duo 1.66 ghz?
Which 1 faster/stable in the sense wont get hang when its on heavy duty.

If you google up the info regarding the Gefore 8000M series, for the 8600, there are 2 versions i.e. the 8600M GS and 8600M GT. The GS has a 3dmark06 score a little bit higher than the x1700/7700. Whilst the 8600M GT has a 3dmark06 score close to if not better than the 7900GS.

With the benq s31g having a x1600 and the s41 having a 8600M GS, the performance difference between both laptop would not be very significant but you can only find out after the s41 comes out.

where do get those benchmarking details? how much is tis gc's memory bus? 64bit? 128 bit? 256 bit? core clock? memory clock? dedicated memory?

oh ya.. how much is the prosessor speed of s41? 2.33GHz? x understand there..

MY BUDJET IS AROUND 4~5K,THE SPEC I NEED IS CAN SUPPORT GAMES AS WELL, AND WITH GOOD GRAPHIC CARD, 15~17 ALSO CAN FOR THE SCREEN.  MY MAINLY USE LAPTOP CAUSE I WANT A PORTABLE WORK TOOLS, AND ENTERTAINMENT TOOLS AS WELL..THANKS FOR HELPING!

Hi there, my friend is interested of getting a new laptop with price around 3k.
Here are some of the requirements:
Processor: Intel Core Duo (around 1.7-1.8++)
HD: 80 (or 120gb)
RAM: Ddr2 512
OS: Vista
Must have: Webcam (1.3mp), Dvd burner
Weight: Not too heavy (for a girl)

Any nice recommendation? Hopefully can get a stable one which doesn't have problems always. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I'm planning to get a laptop for my web development use. My web dev environment:
-ASP/PHP/HTML/Javascript
-Ms SQL/MySQL
-Photoshop/Flash

I may use it for movie, BT, some gaming, & internet surfing purpose. Budget around rm3k.

What in my mind is dell 640m, but i wonder whether i can get better spec with the same amount of $$... Any other recommendation?

dell santa rosa starts with Rm3800 and its 2xbetter than that.
