all new plans should be hotlink red. but maybe certain dealer can still port you to hotlink fast

u mean u buy new sim with the package says Fast but instead when u use it already changed to Red?

Unless the dealer sells you a SIM card that's pre-activated (it's illegal, AFAIK) before Hotlink launched RED and stopped offering Fast, any new SIM pack you buy, gets registered, and activated, will go to Hotlink RED - the latest available.

The packaging is just the printed cover, so I'd think that Hotlink didn't have the chance to change all the packages before the official switch. So yes, what you see may not be what you get, so it's better to check what plan is the latest available before jumping to buy a new SIM pack.

Can maxis be sued for giving false advertisement? If the package cover is hotlink fast, then by right they should give hotlink fast package, not hotlink red.

Agree. And it's not like they put a Hotlink Fast banner or something around the shop, as it's just a packaging rather than an actual advert...?

noob question here...

i am planning to change my Maxis One Plan to Hotlink Red Prepaid (RM35).

from hotlink website, hotlink red (RM35) come with 5GB data. Call rate is 15sen/30 sec.

last time my plan is postpaid and i paid my bill via Maxis Pay... it is very straight forward...
for Hotlink Red Prepaid, may i know how to purchase the 5GB data and also credit for call/sms?

this is my guess
1. Download Hotlink Red App. Need create an account or Hotlink Red App will detect my phone number?
2. Reload money (let say RM40) to my account.
3. Use the credit in my account to purchase 5GB data pass (RM35).
4. The remaining credit in my account (RM5) will auto deduct if i make call / sms.

Hotlink Red app will ask you to enter your number, then SMS a TAC for you to key in, after that you can log in. smile.gif

Your other points look legit - yes, that's normally the case with a prepaid number. Reload, use credit balance to purchase data pass, and the remaining amount will be deducted for calls/SMS. nod.gif
