should be able to purchase the software separately.

if able to, can DIY the rest of the cardboard + tiny gimmick string/mechanic part from Taobao or even korek from your storage room biggrin.gif
then it will be much more affordable.

the cardboard design will be given for free but you still need the game. So you can just buy digitally and download cardboard pattern online later.

Most importantly, at a fraction of the cost(s), compared to some next-gen VR "experience machines".

Well, with all things Ninty
you can expect the first batch will be flying off the shelves as soon as it arrives

some already opening up the pre-orders

I'll bet those scalpers will be targeting it as well doh.gif

Love idiots who think the cardboards is 300+, when the pricing is mostly relating to software rather than the cardbord itself xD

yup, majority of the cost is the software itself

but the box is pretty huge also, and should be heavy with all those cardboard packed into it, I think they also considered the higher cost of logistic into the retail price as well

If you've kids at home and a switch, I think it's worthwhile.

I wouldn't get it though.
Coz I don't appreciate the games and I'm just too lazy to assemble the cardboard. Plus it's bulky.

If it can accept programmable custom commands like Lego Mindstorm it'll open up quite a lot of possibilities. Though as far as I can see it's motor function is pretty much just the Joycons' HD Rumble which doesn'tn't sound exciting at all lol.

Revenge of the VR gameboy kambing!!

Lol.

But the joycon is expected to be connected to the Switch while you move around with the headset in VR SMO and VR BOTW.

I think its stupid. Should have the joycon move freely in either hand using motion control. But the problem is how to have that headset stick to your head if your hand is holding the joycon? The Cardboard is not gonna hold if letgo, which is why the joycon is expected to be slot to the Switch when using, me thinks.

I see it will bomb again. PS VR is still the better solution.
